They came and went, or will go one day. ਜਿਸੁ ਆਸਣਿ ਹਮ ਬੈਠੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਬੈਸਿ ਗਇਆ ॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਨਾਸ ॥੫॥ नानक ब्रहम गिआनी का नही बिनास ॥५॥ Nānak barahm gi▫ānī kā nahī binās. ||5|| O Nanak, the God-conscious being shall never perish. ||5||

No true Brahmgyani will tell you to become a Sikh of them, but instruct you to follow Gurbani to the utmost.

The writer should edit it and spend a bit more time in the company of actual Sants.

What did the writer say wrong, (nothing he said seemed to be Anti-Gurmat, all he said was just follow Guru Sahib).

Bro saying that regardless of someone's Avasta they will come and go or even came and now went , is extremely disrespectful.  The same Brahmgyani are still very much here, they've not gone anywhere. The power and magnificence they hold is still active in the world.

Gurbani is the key to understanding everything but there's only so much we can actually know as our intelligence is limited, Gurbani is too deep in many places.  That's why Gurbani tells you to find the company of Saints as God resides there.  If you ask the followers of say Baba Nand Singh Ji about who's Sikh they will they will reply the Sikh of Guru Nanak.

The he post while having great advice should also note that Mahapurkhs are the key to understanding certain things in Gurbani.

The above is the full shabad from SGGS 488.

If you read the whole of it and take the particular line

जिसु आसणि हम बैठे केते बैसि गइआ ॥५॥

Jis āsaṇ ham baiṯẖe keṯe bais ga▫i▫ā. ||5||

That seat, upon which we now sit - many others sat on it and have since departed. ||5||

You will then understand that the seat being referred to is the worldly seat. It is true that when any of the mahapurash come to the world, they occupy a seat which had already been occupied by someone else. The seat which once Guru Nanak Dev ji occupied was passed on to Guru Angad Dev ji and so on.

However this does not mean that Guru Nank Dev Ji does not have any seat any more as per your translation or understanding of the line.

Nothing in this world stays --- even when the Gurus came they had to depart. This is what we are being made to understand. Whoever comes will go.

However there is a seat in heaven which is never lost - for all these mahapurash.

What about the Bhagats disciples? Daas doesn't really think or believe the followers of Ravidas or Kabir or any of the 15 Bhagats disciples will grow spiritually much, we can learn from Mahapurukhs; however, even Mahapurukhs think of Vaheguru differently from each other; which is why if they don't connect us to Vaheguru, but rather themselves it won't help much.
