so the assailants get away and the injured party is thrown i jail and has his passport stolen ... typical Indian Justice. Is this Gurdwara a sikh one or a Radha Soami one ?

Radha Soamis don't have Granthis, nor do they call their buildings Gurdwaras. Beas is plagued by that Radha Soami cult; however, Daas is sure that the place he's at is a Gurdwara. (Surprisingly, Beas is also filled with Ravidassia as well in huge number).

Thought so but I had heard that true sikhs had been hassled out of Beas by dera waley  much like the villagers from the land. Last time I went India and stayed in Pind they were doing nakal of langar and charging by ticket ...so I wouldn't put it past them to try pass their dera affiliated places as gurdwarey.

yeah real spontaneous ... the newspaper miswrote when they described it as a brawl he was ambushed and robbed but he fought back...so there should be zero reason to hold his passport and of course the indians will want to make sure the tourists still come to see the dalai lama and monks in Dharamshala so they will disappear the details of the story just like the gangrape of female tourist in dharamshala a few months back
