Nope. I've never stopped anyone discussing the matter. Never will. 

I know many Sikhs are vegetarian, I know many are not. It's about as simple as that.

I wonder how many anti cow £5 noters would make a U turn on their stance if all employers started paying with new £5 notes cash in hand! Animal rights will go out the window .

Why are Gurdwaras in Punjab still using milk to clean Gurdwara sahib floors ? Milk has no cleaning properties that are beneficial to marble. The extraction/theft of milk from cows is also un-neccesary. Not to mention it's a waste of milk. Same concept as washing the nishan sahib flag pole with milk...pure ritualism..

Using milk is a tradition from puratan times that is still being carried on. Milk is also considered pavitar.

Floor of harmandar sahib is also cleaned daily with milk - seems likle this maryada has carried on from Guru ji's times.
