Or does Shastar need a tilak of coca cola or Dr pepper, fanta Pepsi?  You are the ignorant one. not willing to have an open mind, slating anything which doesn't come in line with your mind set. what people need to realise is, you can't whitewash beliefs/practices which have been happening for 100s of years just because you don't agree with them.

They are putting blood on gurujis shastar in maharajs hazoori....does that make you angry?.

I bet you are the type of Sikh who goes around saying when a fight kicks off/jung/battle you will say gurbani and suddenly be able to defend yourself effectively. it doesn't work like that pal.

Shastar need to be maintained so they are always ready whenever they are needed.  They are maintained with sharpening them and then using the proper substance to make sure they don't rust.  Guns are cleaned with solvent, ie barrel, chamber and then oiled.  Applying blood of anything does not do anything for a shastar.  A shastar is only a shastar because it is kept for defence. Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji taught us feeding and anointing stone idols is an act of foolishness.  The Brahmin tricked the hindus in believing the stone idol needs food.  Today these people, dressed in religious attire of the Sikhs are tricking the Sikhs into believing shastar need blood.  Thank you Vaheguru for making it clear in Gurbani, bhagat Dhanna Jatt ji was saved by his child like innocence and not by worshiping a stone idol.

I think if  some sikhs read old stories in panth parkash and gursobha, they wud have heart attacks, concerning guru jis/shaheed singhs use of jhatka.

You with your little knowledge may treat panth parkash and gur sobha as gospel, but Gursikhs don't.  Caveman is having a heart attack and unable to control his verbal diarrhea.  You should advice your associate to keep his cool and not make a fool out of himself.

Why isn't panth parkash and gur sobha held in high esteem by you? because it doesn't fit in with your beliefs?* jhatka eating, opium sukha drinking, violent looters.

What I find ironic is that it actually looks like a lot of modern 'Gursikhs' would actually be horrified by a lot of their ancestors and what they were like, if they had the chance to travel back in time and meet them.

On the other hand simplifying our ancestor's identity as some sort of savage, freebooting, all consuming pendus is equally ridiculous. We have to see them in their geo-political and socio-cultural context and understand the norms of using freely available natural psychotropic plants of the region (I've seen how easily weed grows in Panjab!). Otherwise it will probably lead to a situation where every second Jut male *EDITED* would be using the past as an excuse to get high, and over indulge in meat (the old - khaan bukray, peen sharabaan - mentality), not to mention steal *EDITED* off one another.

To me, no Gursikh would ever believe in this devilish "Shastar puja" act. Say what you like but the only thing waiting for these people is hell.

Uneducated Singh Sabhia type "hippy Sikhs" have this sort of mentality. Thankfully we have the Nihang Dal's, Gurus Ladli Fauj to keep Puratan Khalsa traditions alive.  Read below and educate yourselves...

No thanks, naam and bani is all I need. People like you will believe anything as long as it fits into your murderous tyrannical mind which is the complete opposite of Guru Sahib's teachings and Vaheguru. Perhaps you should bring yourself closer to Guru Sahib and Vaheguru. I do not need any false sikhs to guide me to hell like you have suggested.

Dasam granth not being bani, shastar puja is anti sikhi...what next will these nindaks come out with?
