Correction GURSIKHS are loved by Guru ji ... you are a gursikh first and foremost your allegiance is to Guru Granth Sahib ji and Guru PANTH ji (that is ALL gursikhs). Jathe are low down on the consideration just like skin colour, nationality etc REHIT and Shudh Hirda come higher than that , that is what Guru ji sees .

Excellent post.

One would hope that someone of Bhai Ranjit Singh's status would be immune to such influence. The above in bold is the advice young Sikhs are given to ensure they remain on the straight and narrow. You don't expect one of the panth's most visible and vocal personalities to succumb to those type of tactics. Shocking.

I guess it's only a matter of time until he "comes out" as it were, and when that happens will his followers also disavow Dasam Bani out of loyalty to their leader? If so, that's a considerable following he's built up for a fairly substantial amount of time now that will turn their back on Dasam Bani. Sounds like a plan that was orchestrated for that very purpose. Still, i hope we might be wrong. It could be just crossed wires all round.

Even if 99.9% of the Sikhs become Dasam Bani varodhis, with Guru Sahib ji's kirpa we must be those .1% of Sikhs who remain loyal to the Bani of Guru Gobind Singh ji. You will never find a Shaheed in our ithihas who was a varodhi of Dasam Bani. All Shaheeds were readers and believers of Dasam Bani. I would much rather listen to the Shaheeds who are the nearest and dearest to Dashmesh Pita than these worthless haretics who cannot even produce one Shaheedi for the Sikh Panth. All they can do is talk. They don't have shakti to give Shaheedi as their mind is full of dubidha and shanka.

I remember this one heretic on this board. I think his name was Johal. He was doing a lot of bakwas against Dasam Bani. I challenged him to show me a single Shaheedi given by a Dasam Granth Varodhi while the list of those Shaheeds who were believers of Dasam Bani was endless. He couldn't give me even 1 name. Later there were too many complaints against him and he was eventually banned and he went to that heretic board sikh philosophy forum

What do these people have to gain from being anti- Dasam Bani?

I suspect there's many answers to that question. Ultimately, i believe it's a stepping stone to denigrating the Sikh faith in its entirety. If a precedent is set that Sikhs are capable of turning on their scriptures by creating controversy over its authenticity, then eventually the next "policy" will be to pick holes in SGGS Ji. I think that's where this is heading.

Udasis, sevapanthis, nirmalas/taksalis & Nihangs were all established by Guru Mahraj themselves & will always remain true in this dark age of kuljug. Any other groups or jathas that came into exsistence after these 4 are man made cults.

Bro there's a lot of us who don't belong to any of these labels.

Udasis, sevapanthis, nirmalas/taksalis & nihangs are the branches of the tree that is Sikhi. These 4 sampardas are like specialist schools/way of life. Majority of the Panth are Sikhs of Mahraj.

My issue is with man made cults... not the majority of sikhs who just belong to 'Sikh Panth'.

Certain individuals from these groups only upheld the Guru's teachings.  Many of them from these jathas got sucked into Hinduism and/or became dirty politicians.

As long as they are living accordingly to Sikhi they will get kushi of Guru Sahib. But when they go Bipran ki reet, then they will lose blessings. There is only one organisation in the list you mentioned that is actively fighting against Bipran ki reet, the rest of them have blended themselves in Bipran ki Reet, some more than others.

Formal warning about promoting jatha hate speech. Blanket statements about people belonging to any group without substantial claims is nothing short of sinister hate-mongering.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
