Ardaas

Just talk to Him, as a child to his father, without any fear, but with utmost love.

He listens everything, He is not deaf, He listens even if you do not pray.  He sees and knows our thoughts even before they are downloaded in our minds.

And also better to keep in our minds that , we can not force Him to answer as per our wishes.

Nature will only act, as wise as, it maybe for our own good, though we may not agree or understand.

Lastly, to ask anything from Wahiguru, apart from Wahiguru, is a binding karam, which will bring us back into mayavee creation.

Whatever our unsatisfied desires are, will surely get done at the  right time, by His created law of Nature.

Everything in all the universes, work perfectly according to His laws, but at the same time He is above all this system.

Actually, he is just waiting and wanting from us Gursikhs, to tell Him: Pyaray Sachay Patshah, I just want you, for I love You alone.

God bless you.

Sat Sree Akal.

How should we do informal ardaas?how to make Waheguru listen and answer to our prayer

While it's not forbidden to do an informal ardaas, it is suggested that if you're not doing a full ardaas, you can do a small ardaas: Basically, you just do the Bhagauti ki vaar pauri, plus remember 10th Guru, and Guru Granth Sahib, and then do your supplication. The reason for doing this is to remember our Gurus before you launch your request.

Tuks to keep in mind:

First, don't make demands, do supplication:

If a servant, performing service, obeys the Will of his Master,

His honor increases, and he receives double his wages.

But if he claims to be equal to his Master, he earns his Master's displeasure.

He loses his entire salary, and is also beaten on his face with shoes.

Let us all celebrate Him, from whom we receive our nourishment.

O Nanak, no one can issue commands to the Lord Master; let us offer prayers instead. ||22||

Secondly, be like a child asking for something ceaselessly from your father:

Like a child, I ask for everything.

God is Bountiful and Beautiful; He never comes up empty.

Again and again, I fall at His Feet. He is Merciful to the meek, the Sustainer of the World. ||3||

God: Who is he?

Me: Satan Singh. Apparently he's mentioned in Gurbani according to jacfsingh.

Lmao, I'm joking! ?

When did satan take amrit and become a singh. A bit sad when singhs crack sick jokes about sikhs on the Internet where youngsters are looking for religious Inspiration!!!!!

    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
