We (or Sikhs in India) seem to have developed a misplaced sense of confidence and security, which is remarkable considering the events of the recent past. Keeping your wits about you amongst these junglee people is a must. There's simply no other way to conduct yourself.

Its remarkable amount of pro-india Sikhs there are these days, they have not learnt anything from the past 30+years they have this Stockholm syndrome trying to appease their indian national brahminwad masters of how patriotic they are. Yet sadly we see the true face of hindustani's who have zero respect for Sikhs and other minorities.

Rajasthan has alot of Sikhs and has helped people alot doing charity work especially during droughts and natural disasters yet some hindus there still have anti-sikh mindset.

The ones that attacked the singhs in the footage are said to have been from the gujjar community.

The rationale behind their way of thinking is, "If we bend over backwards to appear patriotic and agreeable, they'll consider us as one of them or at least quite harmless, meaning if there's ever a repeat of anti-Sikh sentiment that sweeps the country, we'll be safe from reprisals."

I'm beginning to realise that only fear is a deterrent against animalistic people. They respect and acknowledge nothing else.

I don't think at this point they are thinking like that, but rather they've probably been brainwashed into thinking that Hindus are their friends and consider them allies with them. Don't forget that before India was given independence many Sikhs had already been starting to view themselves as Indian, because before Britain showed-up there was no unified India. Another group that was brainwashed, (but they are coming slowly back to their brain cells), are the Dalits and South Indians. The groups that India wanted in power were North Indian Brahmins, (let's not forget that in the 80s Tamil was having their own independence movement).

Holy <banned word filter activated>. How did these malnourished people beat up these Sikhs? This is like a bunch of Goat like creatures beating up lions.

This should be a lesson for Sikhs. Indian Poorbia (Bhaiya) mentality is that if you don't fight back they will beat you even more. They always fight when they are in large numbers. That's why never be unarmed. Gurus Sahib made his Khalsa Shastardhari for a reason. Never be Shastarheen in India like a toothless tiger.

Secondly Khalsa of olden timthes had the mentality of Jabai Baan Laagiyo, Tabai Ros Jaagiyo. Why have we lost this Beer Rass in us? because we have broken away from Bani of Guru Gobind Singh Jee. This is all about internal spiritual engineering that occurs when you do daily Abhiyas of Banis like Chandi Di Vaar, Chandi Charitar and Brahm Kavach. Sant Bhindranwale also would do Katha of Dasam Banis and encourage Singhs to read these Bir Rassi Banis as he knew times ahead will require it.

you hear again and again sikhs bleating that leave it to the law to deal with such people err folks for the past 70 years how has that worked out for you? they have destroyed ithaasic gurdwara at  gyan godri , attacked Harmandir Sahib 4 times 55, 84, 86, 88. imprisoned many hundreds of innocent sikhs, murdered thousands  demolished two gurdwara (indore and delhi) recently, stolen the water from your children's mouths leaving them uranium filled cancer formula to drink, stolen land, money and future from your people  and still you want to place faith in their humanity ? PLEASE GET REAL AND PROTECT YOUR OWN AND YOUR FAITH

if they can educate dungar level mentalities to be shastradhari what is our kami our people have good genetics (survival of the fittest) and our IQs are not low because of inbreeding?

education levels in Punjab have fallen to such an extent our kids are 50% or more likely to fail their class exams meaning repeating the year and more monetary hardships...why are we complacent about this as a kaum?

At one point in history our people were the whole package educated, skilfully trained , brave and spiritual  now we are just as bad as those have no inkling of self-worth and who drug their problems 'away' in other regions and then pat ourselves on the back for being modern ...Fitte muh

Will never do charity again, says Sikh man assaulted by mob

  • Will never do charity again, says Sikh man assaulted by mob
Summary: Singh was one of the four Sikh men who were assaulted by a mob at Chainpura village in Ajmer district of Rajasthan on April 24. An electronic equipment repairman and a father of four children, Singh had gone to the village to collect donations. The 54-year-old’s only tryst with charity ended in such a nightmarish way that he feels that he will never try to help anyone in the rest of his life. The matter came to light when a video of the act went viral on the social media, causing national outrage. We went to the village to collect rice from households for being served to the poor.

‘Charity is a coat you wear twice a year’, says the lyrics of Praying for Time, a famous 1990 song written and performed by George Michael. But for Nirmal Singh, once was enough. The 54-year-old’s only tryst with charity ended in such a nightmarish way that he feels that he will never try to help anyone in the rest of his life. “We begged and pleaded but they continued to thrash us mercilessly. We simply couldn’t understand why the villagers were assaulting us, though we had gone there to collect alms for a charitable organization,” Singh Told HT. Singh was one of the four Sikh men who were assaulted by a mob at Chainpura village in Ajmer district of Rajasthan on April 24.

The matter came to light when a video of the act went viral on the social media, causing national outrage. An electronic equipment repairman and a father of four children, Singh had gone to the village to collect donations. “Two of my acquaintances, Harpal and Kuldip Singh, are engaged in charitable work for an organisation called Annakshetra. We went to the village to collect rice from households for being served to the poor. As a general rule, we didn’t ask for money,” he said. Singh still can’t grasp how the behaviour of the villagers changed drastically. “During the first few days, the villagers were very helpful and we collected a substantial amount of rice.

Ironically it is usually the poor hindu villages that these great charitable and kind Sikhs of rajashtan are helping.

IT reminds me of a story of Guru nanak dev ji back in the days when he visited a village full of bad people who gave him nothing to eat and treated him with contempt. He blessed them saying may you stay and prosper here and left them, before moving on.

Then he visited another village where the people were kind and hospitable. So after he was about to leave he blessed and said to them may you scatter everywhere.

A Sikh companion asked the Guru why did you say to the village of bad people to stay and prosper and the village of good people to scatter everywhere?

The Guru replied because the village full of bad people should prosper and stay where they are so that they do not harm and influence others with their bad thinking. And the village where people were good they should spread out and share, inspire and influence others of heir goodness and kindness.

because it got international coverage, else it wouldn't even be noticed. This is on top of the can of worms opening as we speak with Canadian based sikhs putting dhillon to legal trial and police whistleblowers letting the truth fly

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
