So you support  this hindu rituals like the arti they do at Hazur Sahib( totally contradictory to Guru Nanak's Arti)

Personally no. I don't support the thaali aarti either. But there is a way to get your views across without actually doing what the man in the picture did by physically trying to stop their tradition. That is beadvi in the eyes of Hazuri Sikhs present there.

Sadly I have seen a lot of times missionaries resort to such tactics as to intentionally offend other Sikhs that they do not agree with them like calling Dasam Granth as Gandh Granth, Gandh da Tokra and recently I saw a picture of bachitar naatak in a very dirty gutter and the missionary who did this Beadvi writes this is what all Sikhs need to do.

What is the need for missionaries to do all of this? What will they gain other than make Sikhs fight one another. 20 years ago Sikhs were never fighting with each other over such religious issues as they are now.

This is disgusting . Why do these "missionaries" never do anything positive.

Dasam ki baani is uncompromisingly monotheistic . The hindu gods are merely a reference and subservient to Parbrahm aka  waheguru.

They attack the section called Charitropakhyan calling it pornography. It is actually linked to the play of maya or illusion.

Rather than deeply understanding maharaj's baani, they attack it . what a shame .

I have not read charitropakhyan but if its in dasam granth, I don't think it can be bad.

People like you show where they have come from with their language. ..... gutter.

That is the truth, I am from the gutter, I am also the crap on your drain.

Jsinghz, art of elusive fighting put up a post saying they would pay for a flight for any nindak like yourself to go to hazoor sahib and tell the hazooris right from wrong. Te truth is you wouldn't, you would give it large on this forum about how only what fits into your beliefs is the truth. &I anything that doesn't fit into your narrow pathetic beliefs of sikhi is false.

What kind of Khalsa are you? You most likely bow down to your Sri sahib an keep a takht for shastars and worship them how Hindus worship murtis. Truth is real shastar puja is learning how to use various weapons not just showing ritual respect. That's what makes me and you different.

Rattan Singh bhangu uses the word gandu many times. There is a quote about akali of the past and how they would verbally abuse others.

Akali baba bali Singh in various videos online uses abusive language , maybe a gursikh pyara like him came from the gutter also.

Matter of fact is hazooris and nihangs have done aarti like this for years, anyone that tries to stop them ...well I wouldn't like to think of your haal after that!!

please go and cry into your pillow

The question should be, why do sangat go to see these missionaries speak rubbish? Why do gurdwareh book them ? We should not support nindaks like these two. Dandianwala is a nindak for what he said about ragra and singhs doing jhatka. He sold his soul popularity. He is a kotha nothing more.

When they do the Arti they are reciting the Gurbani, so, there is nothing wrong with that. It is a blessing to recite the Gurbani so who are we to critize them?  They are only invoking God as far as I am concerned. They recite the supplication of Bhagat Dhanna Ji, composition by Bhagat Ravidas Ji, Sant Sain ji, Bhagat kabir Ji and end it with Dasam Patshah's Bani. Why critize others for worshipping God in their own way and from their hearts? They do it so exquisitely because the act itself is so exquisite.

It is what is inside that matters most and they clearly do it from inside..... I believe.

What a joke of a post. So they are doing from  " inside"

the nonsensical hindu ritualistic arti from  "outside."

When will we get rid of this anti gurmat practices?

The Panthic Sikh Rehit Maryada, the official Sikh Code of Conduct, is very clear and states

d. Anything except the afore-mentioned reverential ceremonies, for instance, such practices as the Aarti (waving of a platter with burning lamps and incense set in it in vertical circular motion) with burning incense and lamps, offerings of eatables to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, burning of lights, beating of gongs, etc., is contrary to Gurmat (the Guru’s way). However, for the perfuming of the place, the use of flowers, incense and scent is not barred. For light inside the room, oil or butter-oil lamps, candles, electric lamps, kerosene oil lamps, etc., may he lighted.

Do the interpretation of the aarti shabad in sohila sahib and stop and think at the tuk about chaur sahib. Really take the time to think about what you will be writing down.  I will be waiting for your interpretation.

    • Fateh,  The main focus is concentration. Do one Japji Sahib with concentration and so much kirpa takes place. And if u lose focus? Simply remember at which tukht u lost focus and go back to it. Keep doing this until u have reached "Kithi chutti naal..." If u don't go back, well? Only u n Waheguru knows... So was that Japji Sahib to impress society or God? Ask yourself. Once u start Japji Sahib you start walking on a tight rope. Each step is a focus. The more u focus, the better the balance. At the end of the rope is Guru Nanak Dev Ji, ready to grab your hand. Unfortunately, some of us wobble n fall off (lose concentration). Some of us fall off from the start, some midway and some at the end. Fall off start Baba Ji did not as so much get a glimpse. Half-way, Baba Ji kinda gazed your way. At the end, u managed to grasp Baba Ji's hand but fell. Instead of going back to the start u can climb back where u had fallen (A MAJOR LIFE LINE)! Overtime your concentration will be so skilled then u can walk from start to end WITHOUT falling once. According to Sakhi A mahapurkh asked Guru Nanak, after you leave us how will we see you? Then Guru Nanak gave a bachan "Those who wish to seek me can find me in Japji Sahib."  So, after doing one Japji Sahib DO FOUR MORE! Why? To start on QUANTITY! You have quality now aim for a nice low number and produce quantity.  I shall speak from exp... About 5 yrs ago I started on five Japji Sahibs but gave up after nearly NINE MONTHS! I was 26 then. It would take me over an hour even after I sped up! Nine months later? STILL over an hour! So I forgot about it for 5 yrs. Last month I heard katha about going back to where your mind wandered off n importance of knowing translation of Gurbani, to help with concentration. BARE IN MIND! ONLY LAST MONTH! For two weeks I kept on with the translation of 7 Baanias and started 1 additional Japji Sahib with concentration then 5 Japji Sahibs with focus. And these last 2 days? I managed to achieve 5 Japji Sahibs, with focus, in 40 minutes! NOTE: Everybody will have a different prayer to complete everyday more than once. Same principles apply, know translation, focus, then learn to speed it up whilst keeping focus intact. Sangat jio, focus can be achieved in a month! Question is how to maintain it?  TBH If u think about it same principles apply in the real world. First time learning a new car you'll be focused on 1st gear. Within three weeks you'll be capable of car's speed at 120mph whilst you have a light grip on the steering. THAS ALL. First time at a factory the supervisor will show u how to operate a machine. All your attention will be how well is the product placed? Does it look alright? You'll stare at the product whilst carefully operating the machine. You'll stare as the machine's in progress, long enough for it to finalise the good. 3 weeks onwards... A quick glimpse on the product, swiftly in the machine, machine operate whilst you're ready to move on with the next product! Within a year you will have learned n picked up on machines, eye to detail and lead others. WHY? BECAUSE U PAID ATTENTION! thas all it takes. If we can do it for society it is dead easy to do it for Guru Ji (with Kirpa).
    • thank you so much most appreciated thank you so much
    • Apologies for pulling this back and bringing a spiritual angle to this political discussion, but I would appreciate a word from sikhsangat... Thanks
    • The document is dated Magh Vadi 11/18 Magh - Nanakshahi 409, Bikrami 1934. Indeed this date matches: Magh Vadi 11 was also 18 Magh in that year. The English date for this Hukamnama is: Tuesday, January 29, 1878 C.E. Whoever typed up the Hukamnama gave the wrong year 1877 C.E. This also proves Nanakshahi Sammat was used in history and is not a modern invention.
    • Waow,  thank u so much. Just makes me wonder that if guru sahibs gursikhs are so kind then I wonder how kind maharaj ji must be himself.  I've always seen my marriage as a triangle guru sahib at the top and me n my hubby at the bottom. Guru sahib has joined us together with his grace and tbh it's waheguru jis responsibility to care for us - he's our mother/father.  Omg I originally got worried reading the first few lines but waheguru ji has given the solution to all my problems too💓. I really need to dedicate more time and attention to paath- change my fears into faith. Thank you once again
