Guru Gobind Singh ji said Khalsa Panth is Guru too.

The panth made Sikh Rehat Maryada in 1945.

No one is allowed to change it. Same way no one should change the 4 Bujjer Kurehits.

AKJ changed the Maryada and so did Damdami Taksaal.

This is wrong.

The Akal Takht, the panth maryada says no halal meat. Thats what it should be.

No one is allowed to change that.

Unfortunately Sikhs have now fallen victim to budh mat, brahmin mat, jain mat.

Meat is allowed in sikhism but not Halal.

How ever the Gurdwara must accommodate all so thats why it is veg.

I am a Gursikh who follows the Akal Takht Maryada and occasionally i do eat jatka meat.

Sant Maskeen ji had a beautiful katha about this

Heres the link please watch it, and stop with the nonsense, Guru Nanak dev ji said only fools argue over a diet. Dont mix Jain, brahmin and hindu religion in with Sikhi.

Guru hunted and ate meat.

There is life in saag too said Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Just make sure the meat your getting is Organic Farm raised, NOT MASS BUTCHER FACTORY.

The animal must live a humane life, and must not be ritualistically killed.

People the diet is a personal choice.

We have our Guru Granth sahib ji and our Khalsa panth. We are not allowed to change maryada. The Panth made. That includes the 4 Bujjer Kurehit

Shame on anyone who did .

Only FOOLS argue over a diet.

Listen to Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj

And listen to this youtube clip of Sant Maskeen ji katha.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa

Waheguru ji ke fateh

The Panth isn't just the SGPC veer ji.

Brother Members of all jathebandi were present

Not just SGPC

My brother watch the katha on Sikh Rehat Maryada by Bhai Jagraj Singh

I don't think Budha Dal and Tarna Dal fauja were present, so the main practitioners of rehit weren't even present, everyone else was just not good enough to make any authentic type of maryada!

So your saying budha dal and tarna dal is the panth?

Like everyone else doesnt matter ?

What about damdami taksaal, and Akj. what  About about their kurbani?

Everyone was present when making the Sikh Rehat maryada. It was made so stupid arguments like whether "meat is allowed or not" doesnt come up. And its sad to see, our panth is divided into different jathebandi and different maryadas.

It took 15 years to make the 30 page Sikh Rehat Maryada by the panth. Khalsa panth is Guru. And we should follow only that maryada.

No one is allowed to change it. And no one should change the bujjer Kurehits.

how can you say everyone was present if Budha Dal and Tarna Dal were not present?

The kurbani of everyone else should never be forgotten, but the lack of experience in rehit means that a maryada is incomplete unless fully rehitvaan Singhs have their say in it.

Without the experience of Dal panth and Hazoori Singh we can never have a full rehit.

Also the fact that this maryada allows you to normalise skipping 2 lines from Kabyo Baach Benti is just really disgusting!

Your right about the 2 lines i don't agree with skipping the 2 lines from Chaupai Sahib too.

Even though i follow the Sikh Rehat Maryada and respect it i choose to do all of Kabyo Baach Benti. Thats my choice

Sikh Rehat Maryada is the minimum required. If you wanna do more Bani thats Great. Chardi kala. Thats your choice.

If you want to avoid halal. Your choice

If you want to avoid meat altogether. Thats fine too

Lets not attach dietary guidelines with sikhism.

Even Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj says in a very long pankti that Fools argue over this. Saag has life too. So does the micro organisms we breath. But we don't cover our mouths like jains. And we are not hindus who avoid eggs. Even though unfertilized eggs are vegetarian. Thats a different topic.

This is Not SGPC maryada

This is Akal Takht maryada

Watch this link Bhai Jagraj Singh

Lets not divide the panth with different maraydas. Your dietary options will not bring you closer to Waheguru. Jap Naam.

।ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ।

Please read this article by Bhai Manvir singh ji. Very insightful and clears up a lot of confusion.

http://manvirsingh.blogspot.com/2015/11/different-views-on-meat-reflections-on.html?m=1

ਜਉ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਕਹਤ ਹਉ ਤਉ ਕਿਉ ਮੁਰਗੀ ਮਾਰੈ ||੧||
“You say that the One Lord is in all, so why do you kill chickens? ||1||” (Prabhaatee Kabeer Ji, Ang 1350)

Hukamnama of Guru Hargobind Ji found at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Patna Sahib (published in Hukamname, edited by Gandha Singh), which states:

ਮਾਸ ਮਛੀ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵਣਾ ||
"Do not come near (i.e. consume) meat and fish."

Yeah the Gurudwara I attend loves making Saag for some reason, they put garlic in it.

that's sad that they are breaking langar maryada for swaad ras , as far as I can remember every gurdwara I have been to or did sewa in  , in my life , refused to buy or have have lasan in the building just in case someone used it . It is not nice to make people's breath foul after eating langar on a basic level, and worse still affect their physiology to be more garam and more likely to be negative .

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
