Using a big kara to defend yourself in a fight.

Is it right to use a big kara to defend yourself in a fight? Or does it just defeat the object of wearing a kara.

there is nothing wrong with that at all, even in gatka u learn how to use ur kara as a weapon/shield

Ive got a really thin kara, from Hazoor Sahib, its so awesome, couldnt use it in a fight tho. I use 2 wear fat kara but realised there no point. Fateh.

bit late 4 a reply huh? sorry, dasam paatshai issued us to wear a karah because a kara is a war bracelet, its for your self defence, if you dont beleive me, look at the Guru pictures all the way to sri guru Arjun Dev Ji, ntice that all of them arnt wearin karas. sorry if ive sed somthin wrong, i know im gna get alot of critisims from other people now.

nothing wrong with using kara in self defence, although I would depend on circumstances. and u need a goosd old big one.

Infact ANYTHING around you i.e. pen, pencil, cloth, chair, stick etc including you body can be used as a means of defense (NOT ATTACK) provided you know how to use it.
