Manas Ki jaat sabhe ikey pehchaanbo

-See all of humankind as one caste (attacking the social ideas of hierarchy)

Aval Allah Noor upai kudrat ke sabh banday, ek noor te sabh jag upjay koun bhalle kou manday

-The creator has infused each with a diamond (soul), they are all creatures of nature, upon one light the entire play (of life) was created (Can also mean: everyone has the creators light) .. Who is worse, who is better (again giving not just every human equality, but every single organism in the universe equality)

Thanks for your reply.bro i'm asking for some verse in Gurbani which explicitly says that from now on slavery is banned and no human can enslave another human. Or there is no such thing verse in Gurbani because slavery was not common in India in those times so gurus did not know about it ?? Can that be the case ?

The Gurus were All-knowing, when the first Guru, came on the Earth in a human form there was a Sakhi on someone who exploited people, (his name, I forgot), and there was Bhai Lalo. In one of their rotis blood came and the other milk.

Guru Nanak Dev ji spoke against Caste system which is through manipulation has become a slave system where people are trapped by accident of birth into remaining at the bottom of the pile

I know that, Abolishing caste system and granting equal status to women is what sets sikhism apart from other religion. But i'm talking about slavery which is different from caste system.Once a person is enslaved his life no longer remains his.He has to serve his master, fulfill his/her sexual needs.I think now u see my point, there is difference between caste system and slavery.Although caste system is also bad but slavery is worse. So is there any explicit order from any Guru which prohibits slavery ? Or since slavery was not as common in India as was in Arabia so nobody paid any attention to it ?

    • One major factor for the Hindus are doing what they are doing in the UK is the political backing. The Hindu political leadership in India is comprised of Gujjus and it is the Gujju diaspora that is spearheads in countries abroad.  Even if we had this level of political backing, we Sikhs don't do what these two other communities do.  We are wired differently. Even if we were an overwhelming majority, we don't pick on other communities.  But for some reason, these two other communities love to use their numbers.  But as a neutral observer, it is interesting to see Muslims in the UK on the back foot.  The Hindu lobby groups seem to have turned the tables on the Muslim lobby groups.  The police and local authorities seem to protect Muslims but they look quite helpless.  Muslim lobby groups seem to infiltrate systems from a lower level but the Hindu lobby groups seem to be excercise from a higher level. So it seems to be top-down vs bottom-up.
    • The thing is that Hindus will only give it the large when in a significant majority and as soon as the numbers turn against them they pretty much give up. The only exception I've seen to this is the Tamil Hindus of Sri Lanka. They also have appalling unity, did the Punjabi, Tamil, Nepali Hindus come to help the Gujaratis? Nope. Yet you had Arabs and Somalians helping the Indian muslims and Pakistanis.  Sikhs historically have always been a minority in India and even greater Punjab so we are used to fighting when the numbers are against us. Just look at how we retaliated against the muslims of UP who heavily outnumber us when they tried to take our land. Even in Hyderabad Sikhs have fought against Muslims who make up a huge amount of the city.
    • The recommended schedule for Sikhs is to go sleep saying God's name and wake up doing the same:   ਸਉਦੇ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਉਚਰਹਿ ਉਠਦੇ ਭੀ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰੇਨਿ ॥ saudē vāh vāh ucharah uthadē bhī vāh karēn . Whilst going to sleep they utter Lord's glories and praises and when awake they eulogise Him as well. ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਜਿ ਨਿਤ ਉਠਿ ਸੰਮਾਲੇਨਿ ॥੧॥ nānak tē mukh ujalē j nit uth sanmālēn .1. Nanak bright are the faces of those who daily arise early and remember God. p312   You have to sleep the same number of hours anyway. So why not go to sleep early and wake up early? Afterwards, you'll still have the same number of hours to study--there are only 24 hours in a day. If you say it's the same if you do Amrit Vela first and then go to sleep, it's not: If you do it your way, after you wake up, you won't be worshipping, as commanded above. Instead, you'll head to school or whatever. We're supposed to worship after waking: ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਜੋ ਸਿਖੁ ਅਖਾਏ ਸੁ ਭਲਕੇ ਉਠਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥ gur satigur kā jō sikh akhāē s bhalakē uth har nām dhiāvai . He, who calls himself a Sikh of the Great True Guru, should rise early and meditate on God's Name. p305 Meditate after you rise, Gurbani says.
