How does one make soul leave body

1 - you can’t do matha tek if the soul has left the body. Matha is part of the body. Soul is just a point of light in the costume of this body

2 - jis dehie ko simrai dev so dehie bhaj har ki sev. Dev refers to semi-gods like in Hinduism - they are praying to obtain human body to meditate on god and achieve salvation. And we are praying for the power to leave this body at will? Don’t mess around with stuff like this. When we start to desire powers like this it leads us away from God. God’s Hukam is for you to have this beautiful, healthy body right now - so we should accept it and be so greatful for it.

it is possible to separate soul from body, but at that point body is left lying ther like dead body and soul becomes a ghost. Ghost is just a soul without any physical body.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave us something so much more special, it’s called jiwan mukat. This is when soul is completely free while still being in this physical body. Aura becomes pure white, such person cannot be affected by any negativity, illness, pain etc. People like Bhai Mani Singh Ji were at this stage - while being cut limb by limb they were sitting there smiling. Their soul becomes one with God - such beings are they called bharam gyani in gurbani.

Some gursikhs have said jiwan mukati can be obtained by doing any of the following abhiyaas:

- 3,600,000 mool mantar - ik on kar to Nanak hosi bi sach

- 125,000 japji sahib

- 25,000 sukhmani sahib

This is interesting!

Does it have to be in a row or can you do a number per day?

Doesn’t have to be in a row. This amount of Abhiyaas takes many years to complete. So we should do it however we find practical and confortable based on our lives. E.g take 3,600,000 mool mantar - we can aim for 1,000 jaaps daily, then over your lifetime it all adds up. Some days when you feel like it or have free time you can do extra. Other days you might not feel like doing it, e.g tired or feeling ill - then it is ok, we should let the body rest

There is no bad side affects of doing abhiyaas of gur-shabad. It is just pure blessing. The more we do the more bliss you experience within.
