WJKK WJKF, this is the nitnem of the nihang singh, whoever calls themselves a nihang should recite these baniyan if not then they are just abusing the name and playing dress up in their bana. In fact, anyone and if not everyone should strive to do this nitnem, rthe amrit vela nitnem may seem like a lot of baniyan but trust me its not. its just puranparmaanand. GURBARAKAAL

morning (in the following order)

dumalla da salok, jap ji, shabad hazare, jaap, shabad hazare P10, tva prasadi, tva prasadi dinan ki, nihaklanki avtar, 33 svaiiye, sampuran chaupai sahib, anand sahib, chandi di vaar, ath chandi svaiye, Shastra naam mala, bhagauti astotra, karninama, khalsa mul mantar, khalsa rahitnana, khalsa maihma. ALL TOGETHER TO COMPLETE THIS NITNEM 1HOUR 30 TO 1HOUR 45 MINUTES. but trust me time goes so fast, please everybody should strive to do this and much more. if not just add one of the baniyan to your nitnem please benti at your charan from a low soul.

optional: sukhmani sahib, asa di vaar, ajal ustat. (However mandatory if the singh is a farladhari).

simran

evening:

Rehiras sahib, arti arta

night:

Karninama? Khalsa maihma, khalsa rehatnama? Why these? sukhmnai sahib should be necessary and asa di vaar should be too. Sukhmani sahib should be said 2 times, one time in the morning and another at night. On the weeks ends atleast 6 sukhmani sahib paaths should be done. Akal ustad should be done but i would listen to it for a year  because ive heard that it takes 3-4 hours for people which have never done it. Simran should be done for an hour in the morning and another hour for night.

Basant ki vaar should also be done, it takes around 45 seconds. Also you should sometimes do all of the vaars (21/22 of them) as ive heard you get a huge amount of bliss when you do all of them and it only takes around 2 hours. 1 hours 30 mins is too short, should be atleast 3 hours.

Brahm kavch where is that should be done 32 times (1 paath takes 1 minute).

I don't think it's rightful to name in Nihang Nitnem, you can name it Nitnem of the Nihangs. Nihangs don't own this nitnem, they may be known for doing it I am not entirely sure.

There is no proof in rehatname or history behind the nitnem so I don't entirely trust it. I do trust that if you do more bani it's good for you.

I think the minimum nitnem of a nihang should be:

(Morning) Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tav Parsad Savaiye, Benti Chaupai, Anand Sahib, Akaal Ustat(Optional)

(Evening) Rehras, Aarti-Aarta

(Before sleep) Rakhiya de shabad, Kirtan Sohila

I'm pretty sure Chandi di Vaar and Bhagauti Astotar is part of the minimum. At least the former is anyway.

I think the nitnem OP posted may be correct.

Daas tried the nitnem at amritvela, and honestly, it is not long (I listened to most of the baania). Daas got it finished within 1 hour and 30-40 minutes.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
