This question is to parents of sons.

When your son was growing up, did you have him wear a Rumal knot first covered by a handkerchief, then patka, then finally, full dastar?

That's what my parents did with me, don't see anything wrong with it.

three sons , first pony until long enough to make jooda covered properly with patka to keep kesh clean and heads warmer in our lovely weather . then dastars to dumallas . Rumals over a jooda is not enough to keep kesh in place neatly  and besides doing midis can cause stress on kesh .
