They have to trade with someone. I hope it's equitable though.

Yeah. Those corporations transcend any border at this point and have more control than government period. If this wasn't all just a play of lights it would be terrifying.

Yes, that was the entire point. EU rules forbid any EU members from negotiating trade deals.

The point of leaving the EU was so the UK can negotiate its own trade deals with the US, the British Commonwealth, and the world. 

If the EU had given David Cameron a bit of leeway, such as restrictions on immigration and allowance for trade deals, the UK would likely never have voted to leave the EU.

Now they will be in  a world of hurt with a huge hole in their budget without the UK supporting them. They will either have to increase member contributions (for net donor members) or scrap subsidies (for net recipient members), both of which will increase infighting in the EU.

The chitteh don't like taking orders from anyone as they are used to giving them - we even have one of them who likes to do this on these boards.

There was a video of trudeau being ignored at a g20 summit posted recently but may was already there and alone before he arrived.

Trade deals etc will be negotiated to please the masters detailed in that analysis . You also have to consider that Britain is 1.5tn in debt (to those same mega financial institutions), so as with most entities that are in debt will do what the lender says. Oh to put it into context that debt is the equivalent of 1.5 million stacks of £1m.

Orange man will never do any good trade deals. He is our crazy loco president. Tell ur UK bibi to stay put and come back to senses to hold another vote to undo the brexit. London property rate is already falling.

I'm trying to figure out what you're saying.

Are you saying it's bad that the British people don't want to take orders from the EU?

If so, what's bad about that?

Also, do you favor Punjab being able to do what it wants to do without interference by Delhi? If so, do you oppose the UK being able to do what it wants to do without interference by Brussels? And if so, why?
