This is a unique INITIATIVE, First of its kind in Sikh faith, management of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Greater Kailash, Delhi has initiated this  praiseworthy step in accordance with the real essence of Gurmat philosophy, by utilizing ‘unused’ Rumala’s for ‘Gareeb bachian da tann dhakkan laye’ they have proved the Gurbani saying
“Akli sahib saweiye....akli kechay daan”
This is what Guru Nanak’s Universal ideology actually is.....

Its a nice idea if we can actual donate cloths to SGGS for them then to be given to poor.  I think a lot of people would do that if Gurdwaras made a call for it, say if there was a lot of poverty in the area of the Gurdwara..

or cut out the middleman committee and do direct sewa

Both are wonderful ideas. I tend to lean towards the direct approach myself.
