Have you noticed a trend in non-Sikh media to discredit the Khalsa?

they are deluded in thinking that barking lies will make the sikhs forget their own history , Sikhs need to counter this mudslinging by actually learning from sikh scholars  not firangi or other anti-sikh elements.

I dont know whether this is true or not, but in reality this is an easy accusation to use in order to try and destroy someones character. Look a bit closer to our time and see some of the stories that were said about kharkoo singhs.

Their character already speaks for itself. Maharaja Ranjit “Singh’s” era was so bad for Sikhi that it took the Singh Sabah Movement to stop the corruption, some of which still remains today. That by itself says a lot.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

I have heard conflicting information regarding Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s wife Jind “Kaur” (only a Kaur in name).

Shes often praised and seen as a role model for Kaurs. However, recently I have seen people say that she was corrupt and sleeping with the Dogra’s.

What do you guys think?

I thought her name was Maharani Jindan.

Had panth normalised Kaur name for women during Maharaja Ranjit Singh's rule?

The Khalsa Panth had not, the General Sikh/Punjabi community did, sadly the once noble Khalsa titles that were earned have now become a cultural name.

You have no idea how much Ranjit “Singh” damaged the Sikh Psyche. He was boarderline ritualistic, and even very superstitious. He got played by the Hindus and even changed the colour of the Khalsa Nishan Sahib from Guru Hargobind’s Basanti to Orange.

He was superstitious etc, no doubt, and didn't shun any faith. But, that was common for society in general, hell it still is. Punjabis in general are superstitious folks and constantly mix faiths. That's something that can't be pinned all on him.

What a coincident just as there is a discussion going on about Maharani Jind Kaur. Dawn news published an article about her role in the fall of khalsa army.Anyone who is interested can read it here.

This has been happening for decades so it's nothing new.

If poor and surrounded by lies from bigger communities and little access to education, how can people begin to think differently?

Those of us living in the western diaspora have a duty to invest and save younger genrations.
