His entire MO and reason for being on this forum is to subvert and undermine.

It's ironic those coming out in support for Jagsaw are the very people he holds with disdain the most. He relies on you being less informed and unwilling to challenge his ideas, for reasons of indifference and apathy, to allow him to peddle his nonsense.

He's good value for a laugh, though, in as much as observing his reach consistently falling well short of his grasp. One thing I do begrudgingly enjoy seeing is his inadvertent ability to stitch himself up time and time again. Watching him contradict himself and forget the lies he's told in the past in order to sell a textured and convincing backstory for himself in the present, is always a particular source of delight. He can't even keep his own fictional biography straight! He's the desi Walter Mitty; Watanbir Mattu.

I'm going to go ahead and say it Mistersingh because I think it needs to be said: I think you are mentally ill.  If you could put yourself in my shoes and understand how you look from point of view you would come to the same conclusion. I am Amritdhari. My parents are not but myself, wife and oldest son are. So think how mentally ill you come across to me when you have obviously convinced your mind that I am a Muslim. I am a socialist that wants to eradicate all inequality and hate and so think how unbelievably ignorant you come across to me when you can't differentiate between that and being anti-Sikh.  I am a critical theorist so obviously believe mankind should use the God-given ability to critically think so think just how retarded you are coming across to me when you don't even have the intellect to able to distinguish that from "having an agenda".  I really, truly, do not know what is wrong with you. There is obviously a great deal of anger, anxiousness and bitterness that is eating away your insides and that manifests itself often on this forum when you just can;'t control your bitterness with the world and so spew the most awful hate towards individuals. Where that bitterness comes from is anyone's guess but seeing how you, mistersingh, have been continuously logged on as a user day and night almost continuously for the last many years, obviously without a job or life, one can't help speculate that the hate and bitterness emanates from a physical disability which explains why you are on this forum 24/7 whilst everyone works.

If you were a Singh mistersingh, sitting there in your dastar, and the person talking to you on the computer kept saying you were a muslim that existed to destroy Sikhism, you would think of that person exactly as I have to think about you:  What a complete and utter <banned word filter activated>.

No problem, Singh ji!
The huge Mandir above quoted is a Sri Vaishnav Mandir in Delhi though! Its Sri Akshardham Tirath. I wanted to go there myself, sadly I didnt have enough time while in Delhi. vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ki fateh

Hi Preet,

I didn't realise it was in Delhi. Don't know much about Mandirs but when I saw the picture of that one it just absolutely blew me away. The buildings, the steps, the gardens, the water everything. Everything about it, in terms of design and aesthetic beauty of symmetry is just so mind-blowingly awesome. As I said, Damdama Sahib almost achieved that symmetrical perfection. Almost. It's like at the end they decided symmetry is an over-rated thing and so deliberately decided to finish it of with something blatantly out of place.  I said something to Tej in another message about how the fact that the modern Persians are perhaps too poetic and how this makes them an overly emotional people and thus unpractical. Given the practical nature of Punjabi Sikhs I suppose it is worth exploring whether there is a connection between appreciation of the arts such as poetry and how the mind via the eyes absolutely MUST have symmetry ?  I don't know if there is a connection. I'm just putting it out there as someone that gets a bit weird when buildings aren't symmetrical :/

Tej.

Just wondered if I could take this opportunity to further something you said in your thread about 'unintellectual' ? (incidentally, for what it's worth, I think that thread of yours is one of the best threads we've had on this forum for a long LONG while)

On that thread you, and others, remarked at how previous generations of Sikhs showed low intellectual ability by allowing themselves to be manipulated by colonial masters. Now criticism of those generations is absolutely fine because the fact that they did allow their minds to be colonised is undeniable fact but what you, and the others on that thread, need to do is take the conversation further and do a bit of self-analysis and self-criticism. The criticising of others is the easy bit...it's the 'self bit that is difficult. It's the 'here and now' that causes intellectuals to go all 'unintellectual'. So, once one acknowledges the fact that past generations allowed their minds to be manipulated the next step is to ask how and why they could have allowed that to happen without having enough intellect to know what was being done to them. To answer that question we only need to look at ourselves today. We today are just as, if not more as we have more information at our fingerprints, 'unintellectual' than any previous generation. I'm talking here about my message right at the top of page 2 of this thread. In that message I explained how planning authorities throughout the UK were colonising our minds...manipulating us...and dictating to us about what our collective Sikh architecture should look like.  The answers to questions of the past then are exactly the same as they are to questions about the present. Nobody really cares. They didn't care then and they certainly don't care now. What 'today's' scenario shows us is that if previous generations were a bit 'unintellectual' today's generation are a hellava lot worse. Yesterday's generation didn't know but today's generation are told it but are too busy criticising the previous generation to be able to process what they've been told. There are no intellectuals Tej. Never have been. We, the human race, is stupid and always have been.

I see the classic Jagsaw trope of suggesting mental illness in his opponent when all else that fails has been deployed.

:hairan: What planet are you living in mistersingh ?   This is a thread about Sikh architecture. What in God's name has got you so worked up about Sikh architecture that you can't control your urges to abuse ?

Quote

The remainder of your bitter rant is classic projection.

:hairan: What 'bitter rant' ? The rest of us are on this thread trying to have a conversation / discussion about our thoughts regarding Sikh Architecture and building designs but for some very VERY unknown and strange reason you keep popping up every now and then with some mad abuse.  You don't have to like discussions about architecture and building design mistersingh and if it's a subject matter that doesn't interest you nobody is forcing you to join in. But what on earth is it about Sikh Architecture that has convinced your mind that you must repeatedly post messages on this thread disrupting the conversation and offer abuse ?  Where does all this anger and bitterness within you come from ? :hairan:

Again, you've inadvertently revealed more about your own damaged psychology in your attempt to take down your opposite number. At this point you're just throwing everything possible at the wall, hoping some of it sticks.

What on earth is wrong with you mistersingh ?  Seriously, this is a discussion about architecture and building design. Why are you even doing this ? it's totally bewildering...in a very sad way.

but I know you're a Sikh, and that makes your lifelong attempts at whatever it is you're doing on this forum all the more intriguing.

I've got your number. No letting up from now on.

Seriously brother. I don't wish anybody any harm or distress. That doesn't sit with the spiritual and stoic way I conduct my life. This is a discussion thread about Sikh Architecture and building designs. The rest of us have been having wonderfull discussions about the subject matter and sharing pictures with each other. Maybe it's not a great thread for others but it is for me because I absolutely love architecture and building design.  You're a Sikh brother of mine whether you want to be or not. I lovingly embrace you whether you want to be embraced by me or not. Don't know where all that anger inside you comes from and don't want to speculate about the reasons behind it. Just would dearly love for you to be able to add valuable input to the discussion (about architecture and design) . I truly understand that not everybody likes the same things. I get it.  I truly understand and appreciate that my passion for certain subject matters, such as architecture or philosophy for example, are not everyone's cup of tea. That's fine. That's what makes the world go round. Variety is a wonderful thing.  If it's not your thing than you don't have to join in but please do remember that when it comes to this subject matter there is no right and wrong...its all about what the individual's eyes like or don't like....and, as such, your thoughts would be just as valid as mine and I for one would welcome them with an open heart.

I wanna say one more thing mistersingh, and I say this with upmost honesty and sincerity, I do care about you. I want you to know that it is not healthy for you and extremely corrosive for your well-being to become so angry and bitter over an innocent discussion about building designs. I can't help you with that and I'm probably the last person that should even attempt to do so because you have obviously taken an intense personal dislike of me but my view, for what it's worth, is that it would be very beneficial for you if you took a few minutes to self-reflect and analyse your conduct over the course of this thread.

Harmandir sahib used to be surrounded by a cluster of palaces and bungas but the SGPC lot destroyed every single one apart from Bunga Ramgaria
