Ughh its a hindu look alike of Harmandar sahib in amritsar , in amritsar.

Recently they covered it with gold fully

Also hindoos have managed to twist Badals arms into providing similar front heritage walk for durgiana temple as it was recently for harmandar sahib

Reminds me of Gulab Singh of Jammu and other such DOGras who must have twisted Ranjit singh's arms into giving them autocracy .

When they asked us for it , we gave them , and when we asked for it from hindoos , these bloody rats gave us bullets .

The Hindus have such a complex about the sikhs they even tried to make their own version of Akal Takht for Hindus , I read the story and just laughed at their pathetic attempts to scrape together some semblence  of respect  when the world knows it's all based on lies ...

after being subjugated and invaded for 1000 years by foreign powers/religions , they have now managed to get their self-rule and now sikhs are their eye sore lol. When infact we spearheaded their every campaign ever since our existence.

Thesedays they don't even like to hear that sikhs helped them.

must have done something horrible in the first place to buddhists and shudras to invoke the wrath of 1000 years of invasions ! There's evidence Pushyamitra shunga a brahmin of the 3nd AD started killing buddhists . And oppression of dalits, no wonder india was repeatedly invaded. karmas a <banned word filter activated> . and now they opened their graves again by attacking akal takhat sahib in 84 , as if that karmas gonna go wasted lol

Gurbani truly said "Hindu anna" . Indeed blind people for they don't learn

I think its a very old mandir but during the British period they demolished the original building and replaced with the current building which obviously is a copy of Darbar Sahib. Im sure it was an attempt to take all the attention away from Harmandir Sahib which is the center of Amritsar and put the focus else where.

it was built in the last century probably by Arya Samajist peeps in 1921

It was built in 1921 by Guru Harsai Mal Kapoor in the architectural style of the Sikh Golden Temple.[1][6] The newly built temple was inaugurated by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya.

so it is not a purataan mandir just a wannabe distraction just like the anglican cathedral that was also built

Was created so that hindus don't go to harmandar sahib and put their money into golaks of sikhi , rather should come into durgiana . I have also heard the hindu idols removed by Singh sabha from harmandar sahib are now placed in durgiana temple.

Anyways , let them be happy . They aren't hurting us . There can never be another harmandar sahib . harmandar sahb has stood test of time again and again . Its gold and beauty  is earned by struggling through passages of time and of gurbani 24/7  , unlike that of durgiana temple

The Durgiana Mandir has no historical value in the Hindu religion. It was promoted in the spirit of competition to Sri Darbar Sahib of the Sikhs during the 1900s by Punjabi Hindus after the Sikhs removed idols from Sri Darbar Sahib. You will notice how everything is plagiarized, from the temple, Sarovar, parkarma. When any foreign statesmen visit Amritsar, Punjabi Hindis will always insist that if he will visit Sri Darbar Sahib of the Sikhs they they must also visit Durgiana Mandhir.

Arya Samajis especially promoted the Durgiana Mandir even though idol worship is against their core beliefs and they do not believe in many of the Avtars. An Arya Samaji like Lala Lajpat Rai also promoted Durgiana Mandir. When Lala Lajpat Rai died of a heart attack during a protest, he was promoted as "Sher e Punjab" by the Arya Samaji controlled media of North India again in competition to the Sher e Punjab of the Sikhs i.e. Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

It's not just Durgiana Mandir and Shere Punjab title that they used it's other things which they began doing during this time period in competition to the Sikhs.

-It was during this time that many Arya Samajis began promoting this notion that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur had not taken Amrit and therefor was a Hindu. This in part was due to our own foolishness by disowning this magnificent hero of our Panth. Thanks to historians like Dr Ganda Singh the record was set straight.

-Like Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, they also began to claim Bhai Haqiqat Singh Jee as a Hindu and began calling him as Haqiqat Rai. And to this day they promote him as a Hindu martyr.

-It was during this time period that they also started promoting Hindi as their mother tongue instead of Punjabi. Hindi as we know it today was a language created by the British and Hindu intellectuals from Bangal during the 1800s in competition to Urdu of the Muslims which dominated UP, Bihar regions. Due to this Urdu/Hindi rivalry the Hindus began to view Hindi as essential to their existential, political and Dharmic ascension. Punjabi Hindus under the influence of Arya Samaj also began to promote Hindi and took a confrontational approach to not just to Urdu but also Punjabi/Gurmukhi. It was during this time period that Sikh scholar Pandit Kartar Singh Dakha who was knowledgeable in Sanskrit, Hindi, Punjabi languages and even wrote one of the first books on Gurbani grammar wrote a book proving wrong all the notions promoted by Hindi supporters against Punjabi. To this day you will see many Urban Punjab Hindus who only speak Hindi with their children.

Strangely Hindus do have real historical Mandhirs in Punjab which are not as promoted as the Durgiana Mandhir. There is a Ram Mandir in Amritsar and one in Gurdaspur which are said to have been visited by Sri Ram or his sons. There is a mela held for the one in Gurdaspur and is more celebrated by the Sikhs of the region than the Hindus who I have observed are largely ignorant about it's historical significance.

and also whenever gorey make films about Harmandir Sahib it is always a hindu person showing them around not a sikh and acting like the whole place belongs to them 'yaaa I always come here , but I don't know why anything is done a certain way'

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
