I understand what people are saying concerning Khalsa Aid and how they are giving money to Muslims. The Slough mosque alone raised £126.000 for the rohingya muslim community and sent many volunteers over. Now this is one town (slough) in the UK alone, now imagine how much £££ was raised by Islamic charities in the whole of the UK ?    Its so stupid of Sikhs to go over to rohingyas and give them money when Islamic charity is already going over to them from all over the globe. Now who is helping Sikhs though? Sikhs are flying out to islamic countries when their own people are suffering in places like Afghanistan, and then there's our sikhlighar brothers who get treated like trash by brahmins in places like madya pradesh.  Its actually very frustrating! makes your blood boil.    Who ignores the plight of his own people and decides to help people who millions around the world are already helping.

Ravi Singh also isn't averse to misleading Sikhs in order to gain donations. On the KA website it states-;

Make a one time donation

Your Dasvandh to Khalsa Aid will help many who are suffering from natural disasters, conflicts and poverty all over the world. Khalsa Aid is the world’s first cross-border humanitarian relief organisation based on the Sikh teachings. We thank you for your support.

Dasvandh is supposed to be purely a donation to Sikh causes such as building a Gurdwara or a Sikh school but Ravi Singh is hoodwinking Sikhs by referring to the donations as Dasvandh when what he is asking for is simple Daan. Sikhs can give Daan to whoever they want but Dasvandh is purely for utilisation by the Sikh community.

I wonder how many Sikhs especially the youth who give donations to KA realise that they are not making a dasvandh contribution but just giving daan.

This video documentary gives an insight of the cowardly islamo-fascist evil enemy that wiped out the afghan Sikh leadership. Islamic state -Khurasan (IS-K) group. They mostly come from border lands of afghanistan and pakistan. They mostly attack their fellow muslims in Afghanistan on regular basis and even taliban targets who do not join them and oppose their rule and even crazier ideology than even taliban's.

I know that there are Afghan Sikhs that feel Afghanistan is their country but there are very few left.

Is it not time they leave and let this country fester.

If this country goes to the dogs (it already is), my people should not go down with it (my opinion )

I used to believe like this , but often there are strong reasons why they can't leave islamist hell holes like those. Primarily due to already having their businesses and properties there. Imagine if you had the leave behind your hard earned generations home back and all the property assets and start life from scratch at a "refugee" country .

Not a very pleasant situation.

Anyone else noticed the discrepancy between how Khalsa Aid treated muslim refugees of Rohingya / Syria crisis and how many islamics came forward to treat our brothers in afghanistan ? (let alone the fact that they were attacked by afghani islamists)

speaks volumes !

I guess its only our prerogative to see "maanas ki jaat eke pehchanbo" . The other party doesn't give a rats a** about it .

Ravi Singh needs to put Sikhs first and minister to a billion Indians to come over to Sikhism, this will keep him busy for 80 million reincarnations. Khalsa Aid is an embarrassment to the Sikh Panth, it's from the same mold as the Frankfurt Institute/Common Purpose. The Elite are laughing at Ravi Singh and his cahoots.

I don't know how to react to it .

On one hand we're compelled by the noble ideals of our faith to recognize all human race as one , and not "othering" the others as kaafirs/infidels/malechhas, and yet on the other hand we're faced with the grim reality that not everyone feels as we do and that we more often than not have been let down by the same people we helped in the past.

On one hand we're ideologically emotionally drained to live by our guru's words to not differentiate between sikhs and non sikhs, and yet the reality stares stark in the face when we see our charities are helping non sikhs but no non sikh charity came forward to support us or even our own people haven't prioritized us .

In a nutshell , I have no qualms about the noble work of Khalsa Aid , I just feel they should serve sikhs with a more zeal and prioritize the panth . thats it

I give money to Sikligars through the British Sikh council... are they any good or are they just like Khalsa Aid?

My sister brought home leaflets from the gurdwara a few months back, one was Khalsa Aid and the other British Sikh council. I remember flicking through the Khalsa Aid and thinking that these Muslims are getting help from Muslims all around the globe so why are Sikhs getting so huffed and puffed and flying over to syria etc. I even know some pakis who live down my road and they flew to Palestine to help them.   British Sikh council on the other hand focused more on Sikligars and helping poor sikhs and giving their kids education teaching poor Sikhs girls sewing so they can work in factories  etc

Politically dominated during Maharaj Ranjit Singh ji's time.

Maharaja's empire was a wall of a sand unfortunately , as it was demographically non-sikh majority

When Guru Sahib gives one of his Sikhs vital seva for the betterment and benefit of fellow Sikhs and the panth in general, the vessel through which that seva is delivered would do well to retain a sense of nimartaa and perspective by bearing in mind that He who giveth can just as easily taketh away. Operating under a rationale that purposefully stretches the definition of Sikh principles to the point that the primary principles being adhered to are ironically are at the expense of Sikhs, well it's just a question of when (and not if) those grace and blessings are withdrawn. The virtue signalling on virtual platforms cannot and will not last forever. Eventually, the self-aggrandizing does come to an end.

Many Sikhs did this during partition.

When it comes to your survival then it may be necessary to be zero'd out and start from scratch.

    • @jkvlondon point taken. I can imagine that tbh. I've already conceded that in hindsight it was a silly thing to do, and I concede again that if I was there actually witnessing it, it most likely would be a different story. Tbh I have seen some cringe or super cheesy sh!t at Amritdhari Doli's. Though not like this. There will always remain a formality between them. I was referring particularly to the fake@ss things - the munde wale taking advantage of the girls side which still goes on albeit not as it did in the days of old. Even the seemingly strong minded folks back down when it comes to their kurms highly unreasonable behaviour. All I'm saying is that ik duje naal pyaar naal milna chaida, jidha bhen bharavan naal mili da. No side should act like the others aafsar and should have the right to speak out. Come to think of it, I was once at a wedding where the munde wale actually literally threw the women at the door out the way and barged in - I was there too because I was a little kid. It was not pleasant and dangerous af. Needless to say we demanded maafi and payment later.
