Prostrating in the direction of gurdwara from home. Is this valid in sikhi ?

Sometimes when I am rushing to work in the morning and don't have time to even go to gurdwara for ardas and matha tek (god forgive me) , I tend to do ardas in the direction of nearest gurdwara from my bedroom itself and do matha tek in that direction .

Is this valid belief in sikhism ?

Yes it's valid. Use a compass to ensure you're prostrating in the right direction; You can get these pretty nifty mats with a built in compass from your local asian supermarket.

I dunno, well every time I walk past the gurdwara i bow my head. Iv been doing that since I was a kid. The gurdwara is close to my house so whenever we used go school or anywhere I used to bow, still do it

I think walking past the gurdwara and lowering your head as a sign of respect is quite different to what's being suggested by OP.
