All this vegetarian pakhand is created by various missionary and jathhebandi types, the complete opposite of actual real puratan Khalsa maryada. Start doing your own research into inthiaas and Khalsa lifestyle there you will find the answers you seek. Maharaj gifted the Khalsa a practical and sustainable skillset of developing martial skill and weapons skills through hunting and survival skills by being able to kill prepare and cook prey. There is a story from the lifetime of Baba Santa Singh jathedar of Buddha Dal where he used a very difficult reverse diagnol strike to perform jhatka on a buffalo  , I don't recall the full story someone on the forum will elaborate.

Look up the jhakta maryada Facebook page and website they have done great job of providing researched articles from ithiaas to uncover the truth. They are also I believe looking at a complete English translation of the "jhatka Prakash" book that was basically removed from circulatuin by vaishnu fanatics who didn't like it's content as it challenged their own misguided views.

So I always see Sikhs trying to say to everyone , hey we're not Hindus ,but then the same people go about following Hindu practices . So for some weird reason Punjab is one of the most vegetarian states , and many Panjabis don't eat beef ? I see side shops with mutton , chicken and some pork shops but not beef, what gives ? Cow isn't important to Sikhs, so if we don't want these Bandar sena scum to pull us into their circle , start eating meat , Singhs are LIONS , and lions eat meat . Start eating beef , pork , chicken , mutton . I mean you all do it in western countries , the best way to make a statement to these Shiv sena losers and show them that we aren't like them .. Make PANJAB a MEAT EATING STATE like South India. MAKE PANJAB GREAT AGAIN ! ! Also someone throw a flaming bag of poop on Captain Haram chor . Thanks

Go read some history boy.... Khalsa doesn't eat beef. Gaughat is a big sin. Cow-slaughter was the only crime that led to the death penalty, during the Sikh Raj

Cows are a symbol of innocence. Khalsa never attacks the poor and innocent, hence the saying Gau gareeb ki raksha.

When Sikhs first entered Lahore as conquerors under Jassa Singh Ahluwalia, the first thing that they did was chopping off hands of butchers who killed cows. When Abdali destroyed Harimandir Sahib, he filled the sarovar with dead cows, so as to offend the Sikhs as much as possible.

That sounds extremely stupid, cows are food whether you like it or not. Nothing better than stake.

Just think a little next time you eat a stake (lol) about what your Khalsa ancestors would say

Cow has always been a sacred animal in the Indian subcontinent. Within Uggardanti bani found within the Dasam Granth sahib, Guru Gobind Singh ji speaks of destroying the mlecch, who kill cows. To this day, all Jhatka eating Khalsa does not eat beef. When the Brits annexed Punjab, they tried their best to divide the Punjabi people, by using cow slaughter as a medium to start conflict between Muslims and Hindus-Sikhs. For the first time in half-a-century cow slaughter began to be carried out in Punjab. They opened a Muslim beef shop adjacent to the clock tower of modern Harimandir Sahib, birds of prey began to carry carrion and bones away from the slaughterhouses and would occasionally drop within the precincts of Harimandir Sahib and other Hindu temples. The Sikh priests and Hindu Brahmins were infuriated by this. The British ignored their objections, a band of Sikhs joined with the Namdharis and attacked the slaughter house, set all cows free, while killing the butchers and demolishing their shops.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
