Because the sheer numbers of Hindu's made that impossible. Sikhs on the other hand were a mere 14% minority of Punjabi's in 1947. Whereas Hindu's were closer to half of the Bengali population back then.

If Muslims were so evil why they did not cleanse the East Bengal of minorities like they did in West Punjab.

That would have been far harder to do given the high Hindu population numbers even in the east Bengal (Bangladesh districts) and prior to the Pakistani Genocide of Bangladeshi's the Hindu's still had sizeable numbers there. So all Muslims do not commit the same level of Genocide.

But the Pakistani Genocide of Bangladeshi's clearly shows that Sikhs would have faced a much more worse fate that Bengali Muslims did in 1971 had they not defended themselves in east Punjab in 1947.

Naturally Muslims followed suit and cleared West Punjab of Sikhs

That's blatant false propaganda and you intellectually know that. Muslims initiated the Genocide from March 1947 in Rawalpindi. Sikhs only reacted to defend themselves from Genocide after Jinnah's unsuccessful attempt to annex Majha, Doaba and Malwa into Pakistan in August 1947.

Sikhs have a good image of sardar ji in Punjab.So no wonder dalits would prefer to convert to Sikhi than staying in Hinduism.In all of India where ever Muslims live they are discriminated by Hindus so why on earth would a dalit want to convert to Islam in India under current scenario ?They would be better off in remaining Hinduism than joining another discriminated Muslim minority.

That is where Jinnah deserves credit. Despite being the architect of the Rawalpindi Sikh massacres along with his Muslim Jat (Liaquat Ali) and Muslim Brahmin friends (Iqbal) etc he did not get his hands dirty with pronouncements to that effect. The Genocide was planned in Muslim League secret meetings and the level of Genocide inflicted upon kaffirs clearly exposes what Pakistan's intent was. The ISI doesn't need to say what it is doing in order for bombs to explode and kill innocents.

They were not half of East Bengal population.Their proportion to muslim population in East Bengal was almost similar to that of Hindu and Sikh in Punjab.

Muslims were 53.4% in Bengal in 1941. 

Sikhs were only 14% in Punjab in 1947.

Sikhs were a minority in every single district of Punjab in 1947.

I have never claimed that all Sikhs were somehow angels in 1947.

However, what I have pointed out is that Muslims were the initial aggressors throughout Punjab - not only in West Punjab which is accepted by Pakistani's themselves - but even in east Punjab!

As Sikhs were a minority community in even Majha, Doaba and Malwa and simply had to defend themselves and fight back as a matter of existential survival in east Punjab (or face total extermination).

If Punjabi Muslims attacked liberal Pakistani atheists like yourself tomorrow what would you personally do YoYo Ji?

Your choice is either to be killed by Muslims or to fight back.

So please tell me which option you would choose?

Beside You do know that converting a muslim even of lower caste to any other religion in pak is like asking  for removing your head.The other video you showed is about christian dalits who converted to Christianity in 19th century to escape caste discrimination.By the way nice try to show that these muslim dalits converted to other religion to escape caste system when in fact they were hindu dalits converted to Christianity.

I know 2 well-to-do uk-based Sikh families who were ready to make the move to Canada a few years ago. I'm talking very well educated and wealthy people, not families living hand-to-mouth. Then all talk of it just fizzled out the more they looked into the social and communal aspects of it. It apparently became clear to them that it would almost be like a step backwards to Punjab.

In the UK one can still continue to avoid the Islamic encroachment to a certain degree, but Muslim or not, even some of our people's aadataa (in terms of Punjabi arrivals to Canada) are verging on absolute third-worldness. It's strange how the Sikh families who make their way into the UK after spending years in places like Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, etc., are a lot more subdued and sensible compared to the janta that goes straight from the pind to cities like Vancouver and Toronto. Makes one wonder what's going on, lol.
