Why are we allowing GOI to dictate how to keep cleanliness in langar , to the extent that sewadars have to attend classes, have GOI inspection of our Langars and then have Guru Nanak Dev ji's langar relabelled as part of a GOI scheme ??? add another other examples that come to mind

On deeper search  GST is being charged on sugar, butter, milk, ghee and oils which is already nonrefundable thus a form of jiziya tax on being sikh then now as part of this agreement sangat will have no choice but see their daswand going to paying APPROVED vendors of ingredients so cutting out sangat doing direct donations from their farms etc . No sikh will have freedom to do langar sewa as they wish as ONLY selected cooks will be allowed to touch the cooking and all others will be only allowed to touch raw ingredients not even rotian pakkauna . On top of this insult they will count all the meals served as part of the BHOG initiative of GOI so remove Guru Nanak DEv ji's langar from everyone's eyes ..

Ah! UK Gurudwara hit similar situation where H&S folks pop in n rate hygiene (scale 0-5). Our gurudwara has 1 (poor) but... No one eats that side, only during Nagar Kirtan it opens.

However, they literally rate n leave. THAT'S IT! Nothing more/ less. I reckon GOI should just rate n leave too. Why? If H&S is low then sewadaars will be encouraged to be up to standard, serve sangat in area of high hygiene. GOI sounds like they've taken it too far where they get involved a bit too much.

what has hygiene got to do with who gets to cook, where sangat's paise goes i.e. BJPs pocket , preventing langar donations and sewa being done by normal sikhs /sangat.. basically they are calling the shots and preventing full freedoms of sikhs . In the case of UK sikhs are not incapable of cleaning and getting things in hand , its usually where they hire non-sikhs or paid staff that that kind of stuff happens because everybody trust the hireling is gonna do the right thing. Where the sangat is on the ball the kitchens are cleaned down fully .
