Sikhs are too nice...to other religions, and not among ourselves.

I'm talking about the inter-religious faith ceremonies that we hold at our Gurudwaras. The standing up for other religions.

We tend to try to appease other communities too much or attempt to come off as being helpgul. We put all our effort into that, and instead denigrate our own fellow Sikhs and our practices by incorporating and being flexible to the practices of others. Where's our "Ankh"?

Btw, were Jews also supportive of each other so much, or did the difficult times of the world wars bind them closer together

Jews, for the most part, have been very supportive of each other. Even the non-religious ones. They work in unison. Ours like to go against each other just for the sake of it.

The question is why do us Sikhs do this?

Is it Sikhs or is it Punjabi or even North Indian/Pakistani culture? I think a lot of Punjabi Pakistanis also do not like to see others within their own community succeed.

i think its because wealth is very important in our culture, the whole reason punjabis came to these countries in the first place is to earn money and become wealthy. look how punjabis send money back to Punjab to build huge kotis that looks like towers, then to make it look even taller they stick a statue of a aeroplane or a bull on top. They all want to compete with their shareeka even if they are residing abroad. Our community is strongly driven by money. The Singh doing english katha at the local gurdwara said that if our leaders ever needed to sell the kaum for money they would do it!  The more money your have the more sexier, hotter, fit your considered in the community. So coming from a community which is so driven by wealth it would me normal to compete with one another and put each other down. Its drilled into our heads from a young age, look how parents drill it into their kids heads that you should have better exam results than so and so's kids. Look at Punjabi wedding receptions, they all want to take it one notch higher than how their restidaars did it. Punjabi weddings have grown from a humble marriage ceremony at home to these huge carnivals in 5* hotels, all in the name of competition.  We are taught to compete with other Punjabis from very young age.   Obviously not everyone is like this, i have come across many humble young Sikhs. Its just the way our culture is and how most of us are bought up

Abrahmics have got the formula right for a community to survive in a hostile world you need to be being selfish. The right wing ashkhanazi Jews in particular are very sly cabal only promoting their own minded jews in top positions in media, finance and politics amoung other industries. We can witness this is in action right now as a huge fake media storm attacking labour party in the UK and its leader jeremy corbyn when he and his friends spoke out against jewish extremism and Israel terrorism against Palestinian civilians. The Jews in the UK are less in number than Sikhs yet hold significant power to slience their critics and the majority christian population into submission. Its amazing to watch how they operate and how much power their wield trying to convenience the general public they dont yet giving the game away when they come out trying to silence free speech against their jewish/israeli extremism. Their abahramic cousins the muslims are also similarly inclined only looking out for their own secterian muslim agenda everyone else can go screw themselves.

The Christians they seem to have gone on a tangent heading towards oblivion if you see their demographics in the west and church attendances are at an all time record low only the well meaning but low IQ people seem to be interested in Christianity. The higher IQ educated whites seem to be less interested in abrahmic nonsense and more interested in eastern faiths or hedonist atheism as their ideologies of choice.

Left wing fake sikh clowns and idiots are too nice for their own good and then wonder why their sisters and daughters get groomed and sexually abused or get into inter-faith relationships producing no Sikhs for the next generation as a net result.

And correct formula that Sikhs should adopt is what the Sikhs of the past did, fierce against non-Sikh attackers/aggressors and loving, kind and supportive to their follow Sikhs at the moment its the opposite cos of left wing idiots and their stupid anti-sikh brain dead ideology. We see incidents in afghanistan, pakistan and kashmir .... Sikhs getting victimsed and Sikhs instead of forming armed battlions to take on the aggressors are instead holding peaceful protests for a day or so then go back to sleep until the next incident happens. If the anti-sikh cancer is not attacked it only grows and emboldens to attack further but low IQ left wing sikhs do not see this as they are deaf dumb and blind to their own communities suffering and the scared Sikh leadships of today are impotent to do anything.

So True !!!! 

Our folks do not help each other at all in a collective form to our own- be it financially or morally.

There is an element of that for sure.

I think there is also an element of the people that betray you the most are the ones closest to you. 

I think we instinctively think we are going to rip each other off so there develops mistrust.
