halal was always forceed on non-muslims, even before th Guru jis' times in Bharat/India.

What makes you think they'll care? They only seem to care when such things can cause unrest, like with the mutiny and rumours of pork and beef fat on cartridges.

Problem is many Sikhs will eat Halal or not too bothered if they have no choice on the matter

I think we are better off vegetarian to avoid these issues to start with

I mean I can discuss this with you with gurmatt and rehit, however meat discussion is not allowed on this forum, especially if it is a pro-meat or pro jhatka discussion.

I think this is the first and most important stage. We can make noise about jhatka but we need to have orgs ready to supply and show that a market exists. Also teach our own why this is important.
