Sikhism and Buddhism are not at all similar. Buddhism is not about the worship of God, it is about meditation leading to nirvana. Sikhism is about worshiping God and then attaining mukti as per God's will.

There is plenty of meditation is Sikhism and through meditation you can achieve peace.

Buddha attained god , just like our gurus did , but whenever buddha was asked something on topic of god, he used to go silent , because god cannot be described . So he used to remain silent . People misinterpreted this silence as buddha's atheism, and buddhism began to be known as atheistic religion , even today.

But however thats not the case.

Anyways , Buddhism spread far wide and sponsored by Ashoka emperor of india with vast empire.

BRAHMINS SAW BUDDHISM AS THREAT and therefore got their brahmin kings to persecute buddhists wherever they could be found. Buddhist monks head carried a price in reign of Pushyamitra shunga the brahmin king somewhere around 2-3 rd century AD. Buddhist monasteries were brought down and they were kicked out of india .

This resulted in bad karma for indians which finally reaped by repeated islamic invasions and breaking down of hindu temples (like how the brahmans did to the buddhists) .

Now in 1984 brahmans did the same mistake they did 2 thousand yrs back by attacking akal takht sahib and again created karmic punishment for them . Now its a matter of when it happens again. ... some people never learn !

Buddhists don't believe in a creator but believe in deities or higher beings     they don't meditate on waheguru   but expect to achieve nirvana/mukti  through meditation

Some Buddhists even worship Buddha

Basically the whole thing is useless what's the point of meditating on nothing

Sikhi says faithless people have no honour

They believe in something that can't be described, measured, discerned, and attempting to do so is considered to be the height of futility. Sounds familiar? Of course, there's variations in beliefs dependent on sect, etc.

but  i think they reject the idea of a creator .Perhaps Indian Buddhism is different to Thai Buddhism, I know this thai lady who i work with and she said she worships buddha
