They all have the same faces!  LOL     I'm pretty sure they use the same stencil or something. They all look like the same person but different outfits and hair lol

That's the problem with art. If done well it allows you to connect with an 'intention' or 'feeling'. But at other times it just makes you question things... When it comes to art and religion I'm always reminded of this scene from Malcolm X

Art can be a form of propoganda, to distract and mislead followers.

But then you have art that connects with you

Yep, always found it odd how the representations of our gurus always had fair skin and 'unwrinkled' completions . They all had tough lives, travelled far and wide, spent most of their time outside...they would look more like the nihangs you see near anandpur sahib.

We as a community lack creativity. Art is a sign of development, thought, imagination, planning, depth and creativity, and then hope, inspiration. The lack of creativity in our community just shows how we lack in so many things. 

Creativity exercises your mind, gets you thinking, planning, imagining, makes you go into the depth of your mind. We as a community don't have any of this. Creativity helps you with these things. 

We should encourage our kids ( even ourselves) to be creative, get them thinking, exploring, these things will bring great ideas and discussions into our community, which is what we really need.

Art, poetry, calligraphy, music etc Every parent should encourage their kid to pick one creative subject.

Not just kids but yourselves as well. Get a notepad and start writing poetry! write your ideas, doesn't have to be Shakespeare, you can write using your everyday language. Write about your faith and relationship with Gurus.

Get canvas paper, paints and brush and start painting, draw with pencil/pen.   It really doesn't matter. 

We ended up creating a culture around Sikhi during the Sikh empire which was beautiful and unique, Punjab had a cultural renaissance during the Sikh empire, artists and architects from other Kingdoms rushed into Punjab for jobs. But soon after we were enslaved by the British and then/now Indian government and whatever was created in Punjab during the Sikh empire became a distant memory and even destroyed by Sikhs themselves!

wrong he was born 1901 but the painting was made in 1969 ,for the 500th anniversary, making him 68 try again. Look at the lower half of the face same , slightly altered eyes angles but both have hooded eyes . Why so scared of the truth?
