i have a cousin sister who was a heroine addict lol

Sikh women have been drinking for a long time lol. Only difference is that now they do it openly because it has become culturally acceptable now.

I remember way back in the 90s when i was a little boy like 5 or 6 years old, we went birmingham/wolverhampton for a wedding. We went with my mama's family to this wedding. Half way through the reception party my mamas daughter and some other girls went out and she took me with her, i must of been 5 or 6 years old and she was probably around 24. They went into a bar and started drinking alcohol, they made me drink wine as well and i didn't like it and they they all started  laughing. We then walked back to the reception party. i remember my cousin was wearing a blue lengha and on our way back to the reception hall she even fell in the middle of the road. I was very young but i have very good memory.  She later on started taking heroine and then became a alcoholic, about 6 years back she was kicked out and disowned by her family.

But now things have changed they don't need to sneak out of the reception wedding parties and go to bars they can openly drink in the reception party in front of their parents lol. For a few months i worked at a place where indian wedding receptions happened and many of the women openly drank alcohol in front of their parents. Sometimes i used to stand by the wine table and many women used to come and take wine, many aunties used to drink as well.

Culture has changed and its OK now for women to drink as well.

Luckily my sister is nothing like that, she is a good girl and has self respect. My mother did a good job bringing my sister up.

My grandad made me drink brandy when I was about 7 and I didn't know what it was. It tasted disgusting I felt sick

yeah my dad used to do that with me too. its a really proud moment for Punabi dads when they give sips of alcohol to their toddlers and children in front of their mates.
