There seems to be a trend these days to dismiss history as ‘adulterated’, just because it is used in sanatan traditions.

Kesh are a Santan tradition.

Considering tobacco to be evil is from sanatan dharam.

Having physical relations with one’s own spouse only is from sanatan dharam .

Sharing food is from Santan dharma...

If theses new preachers remain unchecked, they will start to dismiss all of these things as adulteration of Gurmat...

We need to keep alert...

I agree with you brother

Hindus put their palms together when they greet, does that mean we should stop doing the same when we do fateh

Ram kept shastars, bow and arrow with him at all times and he told his brother lakhshman to do the same, so should we stop carrying shastars ?

Shashtar vidya was practiced by hindus, should we stop

Sita told ram that 3 of the biggest sins that one should never commit is 1.lying 2.sleeping with another mans wife 3.killing a innocent human/animal   is this not Sikhi too!

The upanishads say best way to self realization and liberation/mukti is by meditating on the creator. Upanishads also say its important to control our mind and vises like lust. ego. anger as they create illusion/maya and make us think that we are separate from our creator and that we are individuals   etc      In mahabharat krishna tells arjuna that fear is our enemy and is created by ego and that the slayer doesn't slay nor does the slain get slayed as the body is just a shell and the soul doesn't die but continues its journey

Buddha said the cause of all pain is ego

Knowing some people on here i'm probably gnna get accused of being a undercover Hindu haha

But obviously their is no place for idols, rituals, fasting, brahmins, caste, sects, ganges etc in Sikhi

look , some people like to go overboard  ad absurdum  , not necessary  No one said anything about pranam or other issues just the idea that the rasam was not about 5 paise or nairal , the actual gurta gaddi was passed on through Gurbani jot . Guru HarKrishan ji did not give Guru Teg bahadur 5 paise and nairal at all  didn't the jot pass ? We remember the superficial but lose the actual meaning of Gurta Gaddi rasam... it is Gurbani that is the transformer ... jiv manas te devte kiye karat na lagi //...

That's a bit rich coming from you. I'm starting to believe LondonJwaan; all those karele up your jagsaw has polluted your brain. Literally, this whole forum is you commenting on Brahmin this Brahminvaad that, hor koi gal bhi kar leya karo. Here you are saying "how deep the attack by Brahmins runs"...how deep does your paranoia run? The way you're going on there will be nothing left in Sikhi because it will be deemed too Hindu or Brahminvaad by people of your (worringly irrational) disposition...lets remove every other vastu Brahimns use too. Hell lets change Gurbani and remove all the Sanskrit words, the language of the Brahmins. Hai Ram...absolute absurdity...seek help for your maladies and spare us your hysterical ramblings.

Sukhpreet wouldn't realise if a narial hit him in his boothi, who in their right mind is gonna listen to his bakwaas.

Some (ayurvedic would you believe!) advice for ya...

ਚੰਦਨ ਦਾ ਤਿਲਕ ਲਗਾਓ, ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਠੰਢਾ ਕਰਵਾਓ!

Gurbar Akaal!

sure lets dismiss every single instance that hindu folks schemed against Guru Sahiban , their families , their sikhs through history

lets forget saka Nankana Sahib because it was because of a hindu attacking our bibian

lets forget the stirring of the pot by Gandhi and Nehru during independence movement , the letters asking for quick, secret executions of Bhagat Singh and his comrades, the communalistic propaganda , the breaking of promises

lets pretend that Operations Blue Star, Shudi Karan, Woodrose, Black Thunder 1 and 2 , the Delhi Genocide  Wasn't instigated by Brahmin RSS think tank in cahoots with Congressi Brahmins

even today weekly new accounts of brahmins coming onto platforms to preach hate against sikhs doesn't happen  ...it's all imaginings of a paranoid mind .

Where the roots of language come from , cultural idioms etc I am not saying that sikhs sprung up in a vacuum of course we have some of those from that culture but we also have language from the other cultures around us but Guru ji made it anew by adding new values and new depths to those terms e.g. shaheed in Islam is just someone who kill the kuffar even children  whereas shaheed in our faith has such an uccha kirdar and requirement, that we hold off calling people shaheed if they fall below it.

The reason why we are such a mess in India is we are suffering a blindspot because of 'sikh hindu nau maas ka rishta'  just need to open eyes to the fact that history doesn't  say the same . If we can be aware of musley with bad intentions there is nothing wrong in being aware and wary of Hindus with agendas too, and sticking to what Guru ji says

LOL I'm just saying in general, some sikhs are so insecure and triggered about some "brahmin" stuff in sikhi. Where do you draw the line.  What more will they discard.

Didn't waheguru also send down people like ram and Krishan to spread the truth/sikhi     so there will be some similarities won't there ?

Khalsa Ji,

The opinions posted in this video are severely flawed. With regards to the transfer of Gurta Gaddi, it was necessary to do matha tek with paise and narial. If the transfer was just completely invisible, then there would’ve been others claiming that the Jyot was passed on to them.

Sanatan Granths state that one should not go empty handed to a saintly person. All this was done to show the world that, if Guru Nanak does the matha tek, then so should we. Guru Nanak could’ve changed all this maryada, but what was the need to change!!!

There’s nothing wrong with taking an offering to a saintly person.

This video is full of kushak gyan!!! The video lacks nimrata, prema bhagti, and sharda...

Rather than doing kamaiee of Gurbani, new preachers have found it easier to do nindiya of Gurmat!!!

Yeah Waheguru sent them to spread the truth and in their scriptures you can see aspects of Sikhi! like Ram kept his kesh but then at the same time when he was sent to the forest he matted his hair which obviously is not gurmat. In ramayan its repeated again and again how it is wrong to sleep with another woman other than your wife especially a married woman, one of the characters even curses another character that he may get addicted to women! kaam is really looked down upon in ramayan while charitable work is praised , but then at the same time Brahmins are given higher and special status, they are considered more saintly and intelligent than other people, lots of cow worship as well lmao       so you see aspects of Sikhi but at the same time other weird stuff too
