First of all we don't do out Nitnem as a lucky charm or for good luck. Nitnem is showing our love and devotion to preetam pyara Akaal Purakh Waheguru and showing him that we are ready to place him before us and as a result Waheguru will undoubtedly get happy and give you good luck and help you out since you have made him your friend.

Listen here, I think it utterly sad for you to be spending your time on this forum -a place where we should help one other - trying to denigrate Sikhi and put it into a bad light, spreading hate and breaking sharda of others. I always used to wonder when Sukhmani sahib has the following line 

"Jaananhaar prabhu parbeen . Baahar bhekh na kaahu bheen"

(The excellent lord is all knower. He's not impressed with your outer looks) 

then why 5 Ks ?

And the answer to that is : 

Sikhi is like a rose , delicate and giving off fragrance of virtues to everyone , but a rose needs a guardian like thorns to safe it from mischievous ppl. Khalsa is that thorn . I hope you get my point now .

If Sikhi is on the inside then you say Waheguru.

On the outside is Kes.
