Everything that Guru Ji told us to do has a practical and spiritual reason. There are NO rituals in Sikhi this is because Guru Ji can never be wrong because:

guru parmesar eko jaan

The Guru and the Transcendent Lord are one and the same

listen, every reply you say, is saying Guru is never wrong. HE is never wrong. But we are debating to what he actually said. thanks.

Contradiction that no-one can answer......

1. Sikhs say no rituals. Nothing that you are tied to, and have special importance on, for no reason. No, lucky charms, or doing a certain chant everyday for good luck.

2. funnily enough, the rehit says, pray everyday, and wear a sword, and carry a comb, to .... what exactly...?

Well... we wouldn't have to debate what Guru Ji actually said if you just listened in the first place.

I always used to wonder when Sukhmani sahib has the following line

"Jaananhaar prabhu parbeen . Baahar bhekh na kaahu bheen"

(The excellent lord is all knower. He's not impressed with your outer looks)

then why 5 Ks ?

And the answer to that is :

Sikhi is like a rose , delicate and giving off fragrance of virtues to everyone , but a rose needs a guardian like thorns to safe it from mischievous ppl. Khalsa is that thorn . I hope you get my point now .
