When i last went to darbar sahib few years back I was confused to why names of indian army sikh soldiers were on the walls. I've been wondering for a few years and tried to find information about this but haven't been unable to so far.

Does anyone know what kinda writings is on these walls? and why the names of soldiers are there?

I personally find it disrespectful and inappropriate to have the names of Sikh soldiers who fought for non-sikh indian or british india colonialist regimes at our holiest site.
