We perhaps dont understand what a mahapurash is, if they have attained such level of spirituality that they are one with Vaheguru then in the first instance their bachan arent meer words that at a later date it would no longer apply. They and their bachan are atal.

Only us and our egos would assess circumstances and for our own benefit suggest to change the bachan to suit us.

Its no mistake or game that words are spoken by saints. If truely brahmgyani then there words will only be for bhalla and they will just like vaheguru have seen every eventuallity and suggest something for our souls journey not just your issue in this particular circumstance or this life.

I guess more detail and context would be needed to understand what is really being asked.

There are many examples in the sikh history and hindoo history where bachans are “modified” to make them less dangerous but i guess there is not a single example in the history where a bachan is directly taken back from no to yes.
