If Anand Karaj was good enough for non-Sikhs like Mata Sulakhani Ji then how can it not be good enough for all the poor people of India to get married by Anand Karaj at their local Gurdwara. Use your common sense and look into the Anand Karaj's of your parents, grandparents and great grandparents for the truth

whats the point taking part in anand karaj if they dont even know what it is, probably go mandir and carry out ganesh pooja the next day. teach them sikhi first, make them into singhs so they will know how to live like a sikh after marriage. dalits will be very loyal sikhs, sikhi will give them everything that brahmins have denied them for centuries

anand karaj in my family is a flop, the men all drink and cant complete a sentence without inserting a swear word. woman are busy gossiping and plotting away, arguments everyday, their offspring are even worse.

my nana drank all his life and treated my nani like crap   

my cousins are getting divorced, one of my cousins was shagging a paki tart while he was married  

thats the type of anand karajs i have around me

and yes, anand karaj should be for amritdhari sikhs just like it was in good old purataan days, until lazy fakes like you decide you want to happily compromise on rehit maryada for convenience and comfort while pretending to have some love for guruji on the day when its just a meaningless ritual to impress the family/in-laws or have a fancy photo album to show off and share with the kids later in life...

1. I don't care what the nominal religion of the leaders was out Indira or Beanta. What matters to me is that innocent Sikhs were killed due to being a minority population demographically.

2. Who are you to predict what people do the next day? All you do is curse Punjabi women as slags and watch porn all day yourself. If a billion poor Indians are offered free Anand Karaj and even 1% of them become Amritdhari's and 10% become ordinary sehajdhari Sikhs that is a new population of 100 million normal Sikhs and 10 million Amritdhari Sikhs who can criss-cross the country with parchar and seva in a positive feedback cycle for a growing Sikh Panth.

3. So what if your parents marriage is a failure. That's not because of their Anand Karaj. Do you think if they had married at a Mandir or a Church their marriage and your life would be any better!?

4. Banning them from Anand Karaj and driving your ancestors to Dera's or Mandirs or Masjids or Churches would not have made them any better. So just because a few generations are bad apples does that all generations in your family are bad and should be permanently alienated away from Sikhi?

5. What has your Nana got to do with Hindutva-Badal-RSS denying Anand Karaj to a billion poor Indians and restricting Anand Karaj to Badals and Jagir Kaur?

6. What has your cousin having a Pakistani girlfriend have to do with the greater principle of denying people who want an Anand Karaj the right to have it. Wouldn't it have been better if he married his Pakistani girlfriend without stigma and they had a committed stable marriage with their children being raised as Sikhs?

7. I don't care if 99% of marriages among Punjabi's around you are bad. You have no right to restrict Anand Karaj from potentially billions of poor people who might Anand Karaj in the future  that don't happen to be Amritdhari's like Badal or Jagir Kaur

These threads really make me laugh

People worry about spreading sikhi.... but yet probably never do nitnem themselves

It was the SGPC and Singh Sabha movement who were entrusted with promoting sikhi... yet they have done nothing more than actualy dividing sikhs for there own financial and political gain..

 

Many of the gyanis who perform mixed anand karajs have them seleves said that this is happening due to lack of parachar.

Sikhs really need to look internally and be proactive to promote this and avoid the issues we face today.. 

As for leadership .... its the so called panthic akali leaders who have let us down, where all they really want is jatt theocracy / autocracy in punjab.

No one is against Sikhs or sikhi --- its the people who need to change and adapt

If Master Tara Singh and Baldev singh had accepted Dr Ambedkar and the Mazbi sikhs - we would of course had the numbers. But they didnt and paid the price.
