Lack of physical fitness and knowledge on nutrition AND there's also an element of South-East Asian genetic factors (the skinny-fat phenomenon) that's a blight on our race, lol. But don't fall victim to the, "It's our genes! There's nothing we can do!" narrative. Fat, lazy, undisciplined people will use any excuse not to get off their behinds.

diet lifestyle is 70% of the equation genes only 30% anyone copying gorey eating habits will get sick, fat and miserable

I don't get your point.  If we are to act like singhs then eat only meat?  Nihang are a good as it gets in the panth and they eat goat.  I will eat an animal if it is killed in 1 strike and no other animal.   For this reasons I can not eat any pork or beef from a store.  No goat or lamb either.  These animals are known to be killed with bolts.  I only eat birds.  It is inefficient for factories to not kill in 1 strike.

This topic is so gruesome it deeply effects me.  I saw animal processing videos, they got me so upset I didn't go to work or class for a few days.  I treat every animal well I meet (except dingos and sub-human companions known as pitbulls) I don't want them harmed unnecessarily just because I need to live off them.

No dude, Im Not saying meat only.... Its your choice..... If Vegies only diet is not working foe you then i think one can add some Animal food in their diet without any hesitation.... rest is upon an individual if one doesn't like it... Okay.... No judging on Eating basis :)

I'm skinny and im getting fed up, every time i meet a relative they be like "tu kina mara hogya" in my head im like " fck off mate"  recently this white girl at work called me a skinny little thing as well lol      im gnna do something about it.

i actually see many young singhs who are massive, some of the guys who i see going to the gurdwara gym are big

but why just pick on men? a bit unfair don't you think. punjabi females look like they need to hit the gym a lot more than men do, most look like pigeons or half full potato sacks,  very podgy looking bodies

Right, you have to act like a Singh (lion), too.

-You have to live in the jungle. No living in flats or detached houses.

-You have to eat raw meat. What's that you say? You want to eat fried chicken? That's banned. There are no oil fryers in the jungle.

-You have to drink water from watering holes. No bottled water or city water from the tap for Singhs.

-You have to rip open your prey with your nails. None of this weakling using a knife stuff.

Come on, people, if Gurus didn't want us to act like a lion, they would not have named us Singh!

mate with multiple females

mark our territory by spraying it with you know what

not go near water as lions hate water

Poor nutrition diet. You can be physically fit being vegetarian, but it takes a lot more discipline so you don't get fat (even when lifting).

Most vegetarians eat super unhealthy food and don't exercise so it's a bad combination. I make all my food usually (not for bibek reasons), but because it's easier to be healthy and vegetarian that way.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
