How do you wash a dastar?

Vjkk vjkf how do you wash a dastaar? I don't want the colour to fade so how do I stop that as well?

use delicates soap like stergene or persil silk and wool or NEUTRAL darks liquid  , cool water to warm if too sweaty/oily . Liquid is better because it leaves no marks , doesn't contain bleaching agents  and is quick to rinse

If you want to wash in a machine do on cool wash, quick wash with each dastar in a seperate laundry bag  , then shake out and hang dry .

p.s. never use Woolite it is the worst product for woolens silks and dastars

use very warm/not too hot soapy (soapnuts) water and wash in a clean basin/praat myself

and would never use a washing machine - ur putting ur crown in the same place as dirty pants and socks etc. even if washing separately, that just shows how much u think of it imo....

Bai ji, first of all you should start buying dastars that don’t get faded.  We name it as “ guarantee wali pagg”, it comes in with “vimal” brand. I have used only these dastars since 2008, you can wash it, dry it anyway you want, these paggs literally don’t lose any color at all. You can wash dark blue new pagg with plain white shirt and it will not effect the white shirt.

( Since my all dastars are Guarantee wali, so i wash it in machine (45mins) with other clothes- without looking at woolen/soft/delicate/or heavy setting)

use a thick one, or your gonna habe to keep buying them

I always wash seperately after a washing machine cleaning ....you wash out the baata you use for other clothes in India to wash dastars ...same difference .

Before first use, soak dastaar in lukewarm water which has had salt added to it. Dishwasher salt works well.

In order to wash in washing machine, tie both ends of the dastaar separetely i.e. not together - this stops them getting tangled and you can wash more than one dastaar at a time. Use suitable washing powder. Never ever add fabric softner...it will be a nightmare to tie after. Also do not open the lengthways fold before washing.

Good qwaalty dastaar material doesn't fade much.

Just throw them in the washer on quick wash, cold and minimum detergent and tumble dry on low. Do it just one at a time if you're worried about them tangling
