Following are some  inspirational Sat Bachans, which if put into action, will give release not only from kaam, but from all those actions/karam, which take us away from Him, and throw us in the dirty mud of maya moh and vikaars :

ਕਰਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਹਥੁ ਧਰਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਢੀਆ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆ

Kar Hukam Masathak Hathh Dhhar Vichahu Maar Kadteeaa Buriaaeeaa ||

करि हुकमु मसतकि हथु धरि विचहु मारि कढीआ बुरिआईआ

By His Command, when He places His hand on our foreheads, wickedness departs from within.

To solve the alike problems, the first step is to realize them, then can only be taken the second step to get rid of them.

Guru Jee above is telling us how can the maladies leave us. You see just desring to get rid from them is not enough, for that one must take a conscious step, means, not mere words nor desires, but action.

And according to Guru Jeee above, they the vikaars depart from within us,  when Waheguru Akal Purukh  blesses us with His gracious touch.

And brother, that touch is only possible, when we hold on to His sacred Name : Waheguru.

Prabh ka simran, man kee mael jaae.

If we do His simran, His jaap, with regularity and  with faith, a miracle takes place within us, our vikaars flee, our mind gets purified, then He takes place within us, gradually.

But for that, our efffort has to be there, nothing is free, even for His grace, as we are already dirty and ugly,  we have no option, but to provoke His grace, by making Him happy, and brother, that is only possible by His bhakti alone.

Stay blessed.

Sat Sree Akal.

You are right it did start off with porn addiction that led me into watching death vids and trying to commit suicide.

That wasn't directed at you, I wrote that because some people on here end up having a go rather than actualy help the person lol

As a teenager you get into the habit of masturbating and watching porn, your get hooked on and then as an adult you find yourself trying to get out of the habit which isn't easy when you've been doing it everyday for many years.

It's like trying to stop eating sweets and other sugary stuff

Brother,

Many have experienced this stage so it is not uncommon. However, a brave comes out like a boss. You need to know how to make Lassi and enjoy it with family (or friends, or with just yourself). These things are small enough that we don't ever care about. It is so small that it is smaller than an ant, less harmless than me pocking you softly.

It is not even a thing to worry about. I can image you're feeling trapped, but hey, this trap is just for flies. You can wave your hand, remove the web, and get out of it.

I'd suggest trying gym, making YouTube videos, starting your own company, or reading books. I didn't used to read and was full of excuses but realized reading is good. Read tech/journals/articles or even Sikh history.

Addiction is a sign that you're free. This sign means you're growing up to realize that this void time can be filled with something VERY VERY useful that'll be helpful for your future.

you watch pornography because on some level you continue think it's ok to do so (media brainwashing).  so you are suffering from conflicting beliefs.  you need to let go of that idea that it's ok to do so.  not by fighting against the urge, but just by telling yourself thats not the kind of person you are and thats not the kind of thing that you do.

i seriously doubt it is an 'addiction'.  it's more likely an entertainment for you.    and i seriously doubt its causing you to fail.  if it wasn't pornography it may be something else.

i suggest you start associating with a studious, well behaved group of classmates.  and also put your phone away and ban all unnecessary (unrelated to study) internet use.

Wow....so many amateur psychologists ?

The OP starts his thread by stating he cannot complete any college coursework because every second of every minute of every hour of every day is spent thinking about pornography. I posted a reply showing that what he said could not possibly be true. 2 days later the Mods / Admin here delete my message and we now have a free for all of a hundred amateur psychologists / porn experts not one of which has been able to see how the 'not been able to concentrate on coursework' problem is a result of other problems and the 'porn' is just an excuse.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
