Sonam Bajwa and other Punjabi actors gone almost naked?

Recommended Posts

Guest VeerJiiiiii

I think its really interesting to speak about this topic. I saw many actors such as Sonam Bajwa who post pictures of themself in really short dresses or shorts. Also they consider themself as sikhs. Are they less sikh or no sikh when they post such photos? Or play in movies? Also many other actors like Ammy Virk who wears a pagg but also shaves. I am really thorned. Some say that your heart should be good, mistakes happen. Some say that this is not allowed in sikh. What should we believe? And whats wrong and right? Whos wrong and right?

Veerji, Simple solution - Don't watch them. I don't watch any of the indian media at all. I think punjabi music industry and the bollywood is the most utterly low type of entrainment mostly targeting the low iq/social level of people of Bihar/up etc. etc.

I know, its increasing a lot. People are starting to lose their sharam. Idk what they get out of doing that - its just like what are you trying to achieve?

This is something I struggled with up until relatively recently, too. The idea that people with whom I share a common culture and religious background behaving in ways that are contrary to what I've lead to believe is the "way" for our people. It's a naive mindset in all honesty.

We must realise that people don't function according to our personal moral compass, because there's arguably infinite definitions of what a moral compass should point to. You cannot police individual thought and actions, although most of us of the khattar variety occasionally fantasise about doing so, lol.

The conclusion I've arrived at? Live your own life according to whichever stringent philosophy you've decided is suitable. Ultimately, you can only account for your own actions. Of course, in certain situations we must speak up and take action when we observe occurrences that mustn't be allowed to snowball, but regarding nonsensical soft cultural happenings in celebrity land, just ignore the bakwaas. It's irrelevant. Problem is TOO many of our people take their cues from these flawed and misleading personalities. It's a complex issue.

obviously when you have kids who could be swayed into thinking such behaviour is normal , then your tune may change as you don't want those rotten apples to spoil your kids' lives and niat. No Point in sitting on a fence until then , speak up if you don't agree with it all.

vasey isn't sonam a hindu style name? I have noticed the more filth these people get up to the more they want to claim sikhi heritage are they trying to clean up or just trying to create as much damage possible in our youth. I've heard stupid girls admiring that porn star as being a rich businessperson ....what's the point of money when you have no self-respect?

That's true, but then there's the added complication of kids still experimenting, going off the rails, and being influenced by the sangat they keep despite the best efforts of the parents.

Yes, on an individual basis all a person can do is shake their head ruefully at the kaljug of it all, but when it comes to raising kids there needs to be diligence and a firm hand, and a certain amount of hope that the guidance is actually sinking in.

Wrong and right is all perception. What we 100% know is, Guru Ji is right! Guru Granth sahib Ji is right. What we also know is SGGS is for everyone. Maharaaj is open to all! Unfortunately we take this for granted or advantage.

Do these people bring a stain on/ to Sikhs? Hmm... That is arguable. Do they have a right to call themselves Sikhs or identify? My answer's no to this. They're Punjabis! Ram Raheem (death penalty no go btw), brought stain. Ammy Virk n Sonam brought no stain! Thas the difference.

Per Gurmat then obviously these individuals are jokers. I don't think anyone could ever argue otherwise. Per Gurmat -- if followed to the letter -- most of us fall short in less obvious ways, too.

She believes jesus. She has said so herself, look at her Instagram and you’ll see for yourself.

I used to like Mandy Takkar, especially because she's British and making it big in Punjabi movies. Seemed really humble in her interviews and thanking waheguru for everything. In one interview she said that before moving to punjab to make movies her dad said to her make sure you don't do something so that I would end up walking around with my head down in shame. I really liked her but then she started dressing all slutty as well! Even uploaded a video on her Instagram of herself at the beach in a bikini, started appearing at award shows with her breast hanging out. It's like what happened to waheguru and your dad's Izzat now lol

I don't like her anymore, they all are fake.

Simi Chahal is a pretty girl though  hope she don't go all slutty either.

I don't think the day is far where we will see the "first kiss in Punjabi cinema"

i think religion is a private thing and they shouldn't bring it up unless asked about it.  but you shouldn't see them as representing the community in anyway.

they all do it for money.

they're just not worth your attention, basically.

Only way we can control this is if Punjab has it's own censor board. Seriously these photos of famous people wearing an uncivilised length of clothes corrupts our youth. Of course the censor board cannot do anything about Instagram, but they can do it for media.

I mean we always complain about these hindutva RSS peoples or whatever, do these RSS kattarwadis try and do any censoring when the Akali dal BJP politicans are voted in? Or what does SGPC do?

  • Thanks 1

    • came across this by accident recently. the altercations sound similar albeit in different circumstances. basically my point is whitey wudnt dare do this wiv blacky cuz theyre scared of em. but they like to think they take on browny i.e. singhs n win. they c em as weak n a soft touch. sadly its true in most cases. too many singhs r no longer men anymore. tht includes the metrosexual flex who r well built like a tank but weak in mind like a woman. its dwn to us to make whitey n blacky fear us as well. we need to be ready to fight bk n defend ourselves. thts how we need to be if we want to ensure or increase our survival in the west or abroad. there was a time wen no one used to think abt messin wiv a singh. we also need to be firm/serious wen needed which is most of the time in reality. not smiley n giggly males. its unmanly n irritating to c. dnt think the family wudve imagined this wud happen to em. n thts the point. we cnt keep thinkin im always gna be safe, its never gna happen to me etc. thts a mistake waitin to happen to any of us. the wife n baby cud easily have been caught n harmed had the singh not taken it upon himself to say something. theres a possibility he realised his limits n knew then n there he was fighting a lost cause. we have to learn from this n make sure our own limits r at a threshold tht will help save us if were ever in the same situation. its been mentioned numerous times before but it needs to be repeated until more folk wake up n listen n make the change themselves.
    • the sikh pa family statement made by his wife who wudve been the only eyewitness to it all makes no mention of any kirpan bein used anywhere during the confrontation. but one uk news outlet is quotin this white supremacist lookin thug as sayin he was stabbed in the shoulder which is wat led to the chokehold. as if tht shud help his case. fact is he saw a brown man n lost control. apparently thai law is only 4-15 yrs for trespass n manslaughter.
    • No mention of his kirpan,  does anyone know if he had it with him?
    • if the article in the news is read you will realise the attacker was a white Norwegian by the surname of Bullman , the Singh fought with this guy who was a trained martial artist whilst he told his wife to pick up the two year old and run. Bullman was intent on attacking her too.
    • This poster is pigg headed.  No where does it say the attacker was white.  But this poor excuse for an human being brings race into this topic because hes a piece of <banned word filter activated>.  No one was blaming this pigg headed poster.  Yet this clown writes "Betty white" in a post and nothing else and on a topic of a Sikh man dying.  What the hell does betty white have to do with this topic.  Go get lost.  Racist punks like you are not welcome here.
