Katha or explaining the unexplainable?

I have read that the person who tries to explain gurbani is sinning, and its a bad thing to do, but itsnt katha basically the same thing?

yeah well japji sahib, says it a couple of times actually - translations like "WHoever tries to explain gurbani or gods way, will receive blows to the face."

 

I guess its just one of those things.
