As per bible, torah and quran,

god created mankind from adam and eve, and the snake satan tempted eve to eat fruit , etc etc.

and how god will in the end destroy the world

Bible has a full book in it that deals with prophecies.

do you think any of that scripture has anything to do with whats to unfold ?

A lot of it is heavy on the metaphor. The imagery and the symbolism of such accounts usually implies some universal truth or meaning. Of course, some take it as literal truth dependent on how strongly they believe.

I use to think such scriptures and legends held sway over mankind's ultimate fate, but I'm beginning to suspect Man tailors his own destiny to fulfil the conditions of those so-called prophecies; to lend legitimacy to his beliefs and convince others of the truth behind them for various self interests beyond the just and good concepts of religion and belief.

It is all built upon Babylonian and Sumerian texts.

Iv read part of the revelations and remember it said on the day of judgment? God will be sitting on his throne with a double edged sword, which is basically a khanda.

Some people say the wh0re of Babylon or the beast are the Catholic church and the pope lol!

But yeah I think they say on the last day some angels are gnna blow through a horn which the whole world will hear and that will be the day of judgement

I guess that's because angels play a important part in the biblical narrative. A lot of the revelations from God were revealed to the prophets through angels and not directly from God. The only prophets that God directly spoke to were Jesus and Moses I think.   While in our religion waheguru directly spoke to the gurus.

I can't remember the specifics any more, but I recall a Christian prophecy stating the anti-Christ will be a blue-turbanned figure leading his armies across the world. Sounds familiar, lol. I wonder if we're on the wrong side... ?

Plus, I find it amusing how much of the end-times technological imagery is firmly rooted in the period in which these accounts were written and conceived. There's no mention of fighter jets, bombs, etc., but the leaders of these nations who will participate in these battles are still physically leading their men on horseback on the battlefield. It's these kind of discrepancies with reality that undermine these beliefs.

    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
