Our sisters that wear keski but cut facial hair/wax

Recommended Posts

Guest Guest_Singh

As a male, I realize that this might be insensitive but let me preface by saying that a male cannot understand what it is like to be a female in today's society so if an Amritdhari bibi is cutting her facial hair/wax, it doesn't bother me. It's the bibi's decision.

However, what does bother me is if that same bibi is wearing a keski. I don't understand the logic here?

Either:

1) cut your facial hair/wax and don't cover your hair on top of it; OR
2) don't do the above and wear a keski.

Sorry if I have offended anyone. Thanks.

What about the the men who keep their hair and wear paghs but trim their beards ...

So if they can do it and it's accepted then I guess women can too ...

not if theyre amritdhari and the same goes for men - neither one of em should be harming a single hair on their body if theyve amritchak and given their head to guruji...

No idea about now, but a good few years ago, it was in vogue for women to get laser treatment before taking amrit ie they did it specifically so they didn’t have to worry about facial hair once they’d taken amrit.

Not quite.

Keski wearing women are Amritdhari women. Comparing them with an Amritdhari men is more of a proper comparison.

I understand the premise but I don't know of a single amritdhari man who trims his beard.

If there are men out there like that, then yes same logic applies.

I was not aware of this. I suppose this is a good compromise but I still find it really strange.

Again as a male, I'll never understand the perspective of a female. It is definitely tougher to be a female in today's modern society versus a male.

They are not harming the hair - they are actually murdering it.

Kes kattal deserves the death sentence as it is literally murder.

Anyone who cuts their hair is a Hindu in my opinion

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ

Exactly, It is a Bajjar Kurhet to cut, trim, dye your hair and means you become a patit and have to go Pesh in front of the Panj Pyare and be blessed with Amrit again.

By the Khalsa panth. Guru Sahib gave the Guruship to the ongoing institution of the Panj Piyare. They carry on the tradition of maintaining Khalsa rehit.

Right. Calling a hair cutter "amritdhari" is wrong.

They are not "amritdhari", they are "patit".

This is not a "compromise". It's just another way of a person rebelling against God and trying to fool him, which isn't possible.

Anyways, the answer to your question is that anybody can do whatever they want, including cutting hair.

But if you present yourself as an amritdhari and you violate the rehit, include the very basic rehit of not cutting your hair, you are a fake and a fraud.

    • This forum is going down day by day great Sikhs like Mehtab Singh mohakam Singh  banda and rest of the great people use to be here all the time with best anwser they stop using forum the new jabronis in this forum with zero knowledge playing there drum
    • If by 'white' you're referring to music and film moguls from a particular background and community, then yes I agree. 😅😀 The irony of it is that only a very small percentage of perceptive black people can see the deception being carried out in their name. Believe it or not, most "normal" blacks despise the thug / gangsta culture. We've fallen for this brainwashing if the discussions here are any indication. Most of them aren't coarse / sassy / aggressive / confrontational. You have to ask yourself why this particular image of the black race is pushed the most in the media we consume in the West. There's also the other side of it where there's attempts to emasculate the black male in entertainment. There's a running joke among black actors / entertainers that in order for a black actor to take that next step to stardom, he has to "wear a dress" or basically accept a role where he's either gay or effeminate, or literally wear a dress. Black people hate that nonsense as they feel both extremes reflect badly on them, but for these entertainers they either have to play the criminal or be gay in order to get anywhere in their careers.
    • The main reason why black and white marriages in the usa are accepted is one thing. RELIGION. Blacks by and large are christians in the usa. So whites see them as on of them. They have a similar white culture.  When they have marriage its in a church so they are both singing from the same hymn sheet.
    • You see many blacks attack non blacks because they hate the fact that other races get along with each other. While they are seen as subhuman.  So they try and attack those people out of jealousy and insecurity.  Many blacks have an inferiority complex. They see themselves as less then non blacks.  Its leads them to become ostracized from communities. Hence why blacks are aeen as dangerous. They have no value for their lifes.
    • The marriage rates between blacks and whites in the US was roughly similar until about 1965. Something clearly happened in the 60's. For all the civil rights, there seems to be a destruction of the black family. The families are headed by the women rather than the men. I think the blacks were used as guinea pigs for some social experiment which now is being spread into other races.
