I think the thuggees probably did a lot of human sacrifice but way way before the British got there, India was a weird place with really weird rituals! And practices,  It still is I guess lol     but by the time the British were there the thuggees were probably just thieves

I don't eat meat, so this fat sullah at work told me that he's got a video of sikhs wearing "blue turbans" cutting a goats head off.  I knew exactly what he was gnna show me a video of, lucky he couldn't find it on his phone and kept looking through it.  There were other people there of other faiths and I just thought to myself if this guy pulls out a video of sikhs doing a public execution on a goat then how the hell am I supposed to explain it!   Luckily while he was tryna find it on his phone someone started another convo.

How you supposed to explain a public execution of a goat in the context of your faith and belief? Iv answered every other question that's been thrwn at me but I don't think I would know how to explain that one if someone brings it up again ...

I mean my Christian friend told me that Jews used to sacrifice goats for god in the temple but then Jesus came and told people that there is no need for that and that God don't need a animal sacrifice, just like he told people that there no longer is need for male circumcision.

Explain it by saying that they are a sect of Sikhs who practice beheadings so they can come after the jihadis. lol

How do you answer if a hindu brother asked you "but you copied from hindu religion"

The answer is that the ultimate source of gian (knowledge/wisdom) is God. People (prophets, avatars, rishis, etc.) obtain some level of gian. That's "Hinduism", or the Abrahamic religions.

That wasn't perfect, though. The Vedas are not perfect.

Guru Granth Sahib ji is perfect, however. The source was the same source (God), but Guru Sahib had a direct line to God because they were God.

Your Hindu friend doesn't have to accept this, but that's what we believe.

This also answers the question of similarities between "Hinduism" and Sikhism. The fact is, they got some things right.
