Maybe, there's been dinosaur footprints and human footprints found fossilised together. And apparently some may still exist in the African swamps.

Recent research has uncovered that dinosaurs were considerably feathered as opposed to the exclusively scaly / reptilian images previously assumed to be the norm. If there were such creatures in pre-historical times, it might explain the accounts / renditions of such creatures interacting with the Hindu pantheon.

Currently accepted thinking seems to be that humans and dinosaurs did not exist concurrently (the opening scenes to The Flintstones are not historically accurate), and that humans as we know them today evolved after the extinction of large dinosaurs.
