Having studied this subject and seen various studies and stats. What I have noticed that it does not all add up.

For instance Indians are ranked as a short nation but not all Indians are short.

Also many usually think blacks are are the tallest when this is far from the truth. Nigeria is actually one of the shortest nations on earth aswell as many other african nations.

Many in the uk have a misconception of blacks and their height. Most african nations are actually short. Apart from uniqely carribean blacks and blacks in the usa, uk canada. This is due to the following. All of these peolle are off spring of the slaves who were brought over from africa. All were off spring of the tallest and strongest slaves.

These slaves where hand selected from africa and were chosen based on their height and strength. Ie taller and the strongest slaves were mostly desired as they could carry out long manual labour.

So what you have in the carribean and usa, uk canada, is a unique phenomena. Of tall blacks who thus created taller kids.

Otherwise most black people on earth are average or below average height.

Go to places such as nigeria, south africa, kenya, uganda and most are short.

The world's 10 tallest countries

  1. Netherlands - 1.838m
  2. Montenegro - 1.832m
  3. Denmark - 1.826m
  4. Norway - 1.824m
  5. Serbia - 1.82m
  6. Germany - 1.81m
  7. Croatia - 1.805m

Shortest countries

Indonesia - 1.58m

Bolivia - 1.6m

Philippines - 1.619m

Vietnam - 1.621m

Cambodia - 1.625m

Nepal - 1.63m

Ecuador - 1.635m

Sri Lanka - 1.636m

Nigeria - 1.638m

Peru - 1.64m

This is something I like to call the Dulai effect,

where you only see tall Indians around, because the short ones, stay indoors, and don't venture out that much.

Dynamicism of the data. is the data .

So no one cares about height in the asian community?

What I have noticed is us brownies are actually getting taller and bigger these days. Could it be due to better diets and more excercise?

this is by far the least accurate statement in the thread

Just picking up again where I left in 2016 I've had a chance to re-visit and re-read the findings and a few more really interesting things jumped out at me and - not being clinically trained or possessing any medical knowledge at all - it would be really interesting to get an insight from any of you that do have medical knowledge. The fact that Sikh children were taller than all the others and their mothers had the greatest variety of nutrients during pregnancy is easy to understand as a layman but do these other findings actually mean anything fairly substantive ? :

Sikh babies had the greatest mid arm circumference

Sikh mothers had greater skinfold thickness than the others

hello my friend scientist

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
