Dealing with an angry wife

Hi everyone I am Ajeet (OP) here . My account got deleted , sorry for late reply. Anyways I have created another one as I realized this forum could be useful and something to learn from.

My wife has cooled down since then. Because my parents gave her a nice rebuke . Dad also scolded her . Her parents in pind also came to knew of it and she has admitted her mistakes. 

Hoping she will not repeat them in future . She did 'dand baithak' in front of my mom some 10-20 times of her volition in order to apologize for what she felt was her misconduct.

I think they meant that her mom sold her own rings to make her a chain.. Not selling her bahus rings.

that is not logical then for her to get russi hoee, besides it was fairly clear in the context of the OPs post what had occurred. laying claim to the rings by saying 'they were MY  rings' .

I don't agree that they go because of an understanding that those babey are holy but  a cynical understanding that they will help justify their dhil-a-pan through some twisting of gurbani . Remember it was always there , punjsabi folks looking for the |Guru to help them be dhile but, he didn't let them

you clearly don't know much about how messed up the indian legal system is.

all she has to do is call the cops and accuse them of extorting a dowry, and they could throw his whole family in jail indefinitely without trial, as well as seize all their assets.

nri's are not immune to this law either.
