As a Mumbai Sikh, what is the situation there in comparison with a Delhi Sikh?

Does the local demographic make up have an impact? 

Eg more Tamil,  Marathi and Gujerati compared to Haryanvi,  Bhaiya Bihari

They had no other options given that they were forced out of the car at gunpoint , threatened etc . If he had not shown any resistance it could have gone unnoticed until he was shot or his son beaten . We already heard RSS saying they have no problems on repeating nov'84 again to remind sikhs their position .

This is the first time in 11 years that a FIR has been lodged against the police in Delhi which is an achievement in itself. Who can predict the outcome?

Anyway  at the same rajsthani police did a ditto attempted attack on another sikh  , sikhs have been threatened again by militants in Sillong despite having a stay order , UP sikhs are also being threatened harassed and attacked basically where BJP are in control these incidents are increasing. Even  500 sikhs going to Pakistan for yatra got stranded on the back of Government refusal to allow pak train to pick up Indian sikhs due to butthurtedness from announcement of investment in Pak sikh gurdwarey by UK sikhs but they have interfered ever year so far under the slightest pretext .

it's just not  a friendly world , but most sikhs have stockholm syndrome there

BTW kashmiri pandits have been using police to summarily evict sikhs from their homes by beating them ans threatening them from their own apartments ... Guess aghirtkhana is tge disease affecting the country

You cannot win with corrupt police officers particularly in India. 

He had his son with him, his son was put in danger.

This situation happened with me 16 years ago. It just so happened that I had a relative quite high up in the police force.

If I was in the situation with my son, I probably would have paid 500 rupees or taken another route. I would have done utmost to avoid this scenario.
