Im an Amritdhari, and i drive a truck, sometimes i have to haul loads with meat in the trailer.

Veerji as i stated earlier, those who think its a sin they got there own reasons.

i drive meat loads all the time, i am Amritdhari also- i have my own reasons. It depends on how and what you think.

1.  Think of a driver who refuses to carry chicken and agrees to deliver spices to a timhortans, for example.  He is indirectly helping for cooking chicken.

2. what about barbecue manufactures- will they consider it a ain if someone toasts chicken on it or if someone toast a patato?

3. What about the milk that you drink? It is supposed to be consumed by its calf but what humans do? They use the calf for veal and we drink milk and consider it vegetarian.

4. I would like to know what your job is about- i will surely find it as a sinful if I think in ur way.

 

ps. Bhagat sadna ji was used to kill goats, we haul pork that is already killed.

Remember that you are carrying shastar as well. Shastar as also used to kill during war.

 

If it comes to proper rehat, then also look at how Hajoor Sahib keeps rehat with shastar. Also when it coems to rehit, do not look at any jathebandis, only true khalsa forces/fauja

I don't know if you're trying to say meat loads are OK or not OK.

It seems to me you're justifying meat loads because you're afraid someone will denigrate jhatka. No one is talking about jhatka.

The meat loads in normal trucks are most certainly not jhatka. In some cases they are halal, but always non-jhatka.

There's no reason to defend such meat loads.

Yeah, and if you sell pens, maybe a butcher shop will buy a pen, and it's basically like butchering the animal yourself.

So, if that's your logic, then you might as well just start eating meat. Since you think that anything on a chain that might be sold to a meat eater is morally the same as eating meat yourself.

I am talking in the context of carrying shastar around blood and flesh....

I mean there was nothing with Khalsa in the 19th century and before with being around death, around blood and flesh. But so many dera babas and some jathebandis have put this veham, doubt and superstitions into modern sikhs! The type of Brahmanic practises talked about in Asa Di Vaar by Guru Nanak Dev ji!

Are you saying that Sikhs are allowed to eat meat other than jhatka?

There's no general permission for meat, only in the context of dharam yudh or preparation for that.

I do agree with you that there's no reason for Sikhs to throw up upon seeing blood. But, also, if you don't have a reason (dharam yudh) to kill an animal, you should not.

yes but in this context the Singh is not killing any animals, he is around carcasses, which was never an issue for the Khalsa in the past. So why has this become an issue in the past century or so?
