Firstly I’m not lying! I was in a relationship with my bf when I was a moni, I got pregnant when I was a moni, I took Amrit shortly after but didn’t realise I was pregnant until after taking it. I’m still with him, just because I’m Amritdhari doesn’t mean I have to dump him, I mean we’re gonna have a child together. It seems it’s ok for a Singh to be with a moni but not ok for a Singhni to be with a mona. How hypocritical!

This post didnt appear until after we already replied. Its a good there was no kurehit involved. But you must get married. And if your husband can take amrit, that would be best.

This is one of those confused western rednecks stuck in a desi body.  She still holds public actions and views higher than Gurbani teachings.   You have not taken amrit.  Taking amrit means giving the mind to the Guru and the Guru will guide you on decisions in your life.

Then again this sounds like a made up post trying to push feminist ideas here.

I don’t know how to approach the Panj Pyare about this and will they tell me to split up from my boyfriend and tell me to abort the child or give it up for adoption?

^this is what makes me think it is a troll.  "Panj Pyare" with capitals only refers to the first/historical Panj Pyare.  I'm not amritdhari, but other amritdharis on here don't do that.

anyway, in case it is real, i seriously doubt they will tell you to abort or give it up for adoption.

a lot is wrong with it.  its trashy and uncultured for one.  selling out your race/religion etc.

spare us the western "what a racist remark" bullsh*t.  you're the one who can't tolerate someone having respect for their own race/culture.

so you thought it would be ok to keep dating after Amrit, before you took Amrit?  what exactly do you think taking Amrit implies?  why did you take it?

and it's not hypocritical at all.  man plays the dominant role in relationship and sex.  woman plays the passive role.  since you are pregnant i think you know how sex works, i needn't explain the woman submits to the man and the man inserts and then its over when the man is done.  then the man just walks away.

so for a woman, who acts passively in relationship/sex,  it is WORSE than for a man, who at least is dominant and not the passive.

im not suggesting you dump him.  i suggesting you many him right away.
