Why should SYUK use it's meagre resources to help non-Sikh girls when there are so many Sikh girls that need help. SYUK should help non-Sikh girls if they are approached by their parents but they shouldn't actively go out of their way looking for non-Sikh girls to help. I hope to don't become i.diots like Khalsa Aid wasting the sangat's money building Mosques and delivering Qurans to Muslim refugees.

Can I ask what the disagreement was about that your parents witnessed? If it was minor issue that that is wrong of Deepa but there are many in our community who look at things like organising Vaisakhi in a Mosque or having non-Sikhs marrying through Anand Karaj as a minor thing which is not the case.

We should support Bhai Mohan Singh and make him forefront of our community. He is a good role mode...ideal of how Khalsa should be..

I heard Deepa used to be drug addict, would do heroine and inject needles etc...maybe this can explain his behavior...i think what they done in term of grooming is brilliant and taking a stance against Pakistani thugs, whilst rest of our community sucks up to them and islamist aplogists but they have now taken it too far in relation too attacking our community for different political views etc...if you just talk in common sense manner about Khalistan India, politics you get called your anti Sikh traitor etc...

You nailed Khalsa Aid, take a look at this:

https://beta.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-details/?regId=1080374&subId=0

Take look at their salaries year 2016 2017..pocketing more than average worker

cant trust anything anyone.

Some thoughts:

  • It's their word against his [Herman Singh].
  • They are showing disrespect to Herman Singh by deliberately calling him by his first name - this speaks to sincerity.
  • SYUK themselves have done plenty to create divisions in the 'Panthic Sikh Community'.
  • They don't always act in accordance to Sikh princples - something which has been highlighted in incidents prior to this.
  • They haven't explicitly denied calling the police on Herman Singh.
  • Who are these Panj Singh - not doubting the concept of Panj Singh itself, rather how legitimate this claim is and by what procedure it took place if true.
  • Does Deepa Singh need to be told not to get into conflict with his brothers? SYUK have violated this tenet several times already. God forbid they knew this before supposedly being told.
  • There is no such thing as 'Sri Akal Takht Sahib Maryada' - it's SGPC Maryada which is something they (and a lot of people) speak against but then apply when it suits them.
  • They're pointing out the fact they've done Seva - no one has denied this but as previously mentioned, it doesn't give them carte blanche in regard to behaviour.
  • They have made many mistakes according to Gurmat and are trying to wiggle out it - they're not only answerable to SGGSJ, the Panth also has a say. They themselves just claimed Panj Singh gave Hukam but according to their line of thinking, an apology alone will suffice for their misdeeds - double standards.
  • They're saying he nor SYUK can be held responsible for their own members. This is unaccpetable.
  • They should have responded to this whole situation ASAP, not a couple of hours before. This doesn't matter though because of their lack of sincerity and respect. It's clear they don't take the concerns of the Sikh community seriously.

Personally I think they're just trying to play the humble victim but their false piety, arrogance, and dishonest nature is obvious.

It didn't take long to pick apart their nonsense 'official statement'. I urge everyone to analyse anything and everything that they churn out or support. They spread a lot of misinformation, ignorance, and promote the same under the guise of Gurmat. Soon enough, people who have been affected by their toxic, cultish ideology will start appearing, it's already happening.

Gurbar Akaal!

Sikh Youth Uk.. the message was clear today - Deepa step down and get out of town. His ego was always going to get the better of him. Sewa was always done but never humbly.

I'll take your word for them helping girls from other communities, I've never seen either Deepa or his group say anything like that.

I don't have any axe to grind against them but when you look at their track record and their penchant for violence especially against their own kid it kind of negates what they do.

Go do a search on Facebook, it won't take you long before you find out what happened last weekend and to find the video from the Father who's daughter SYUK were harassing.

jus watched em.

dnt knw the allegations/stories/ rumours abt deepa or his conduct.

but the incidents on the coach n wiv gnnsj sevadaar r ultimately gna be on his head. cuz these kids r supposed to be representin singhs but act like clowns. did he or anyone ever tell em from the beginning to curb the childish antics? nothins changed. it gives the impression this behaviour is accepted within the org. thts not ryt since theyre representin sikhi n us too so something has to change.

imo it wudve been better to let sangat prove themselves worthy of certain seva first but too late for tht nw.

I haven't heard or seen a shred of evidence against this group that makes them enemies of the Panth. Get off your high horses and do something for the benefit of Sikhi, any twonk can sit behind a keyboard and malign others or sling mud from the comfort of your chairs, daft backbenchers. Deepa Singh might not be perfect, but who is. He's hardly going around calling himself a Brahmgiani and has it hard enough getting falsely accused by WMP working hand in glove with GOI and UK dumba55 bum licking government.

I don't know Deepa Singh personally and only know him through his videos online. From what I have seen he is a passionate sewadar and while others like to sit in their armchairs at home and nit pick he is actually on the frontlines confronting the issues that others just want to sweep under the carpet because it doesn't fit into their left wing socialist kumbaya view of the world. From what I have seen he has been active in protecting girls from grooming gangs.

Deepa Singh has been associated with Tommy Robinson and this has been because both have been prominent in highlighting Pakistani grooming gangs. If you buy into the mainstream media's portrayal of TR as a racist then for you this is an unforgivable crime. For me TR is not a racist and I haven't seen anything which shows him to be a racist. This is especially surprising as the first thing anyone who is a victim of the mainstream media brainwashing will be to describe TR as a racist. TR is trying to defend his community against the grooming gangs and this something that many Sikh youth in the 80s and 90s did and they also faced the same level of personal attacks from the Gurdwaras and Sikh organisations that TR faces from the mainstream media now. For the left wing kumbaya type Sikhs such as Sikhs against EDL, Turban Campaign, City Sikhs etc Deepa Singh represents something that they despise, a Sikh who doesn't care about what the mainstream media and the British establishment thinks of him and someone who measures his achievements by the lives he has saved from the grooming gangs and not the CBEs or MBEs that he has received which is what the above organisations are more concerned about.

The kumbaya singing Sikh organisations whose only existence is online and who probably only consist of some few brain dead left wing pajamay hate Deepa Singh because he calls them out on their antics and their anti-Panthic activities. The latest one was the disgusting Vaisakhi in the Mosque event where these self appointed 'leaders' of the Sikh community wanted to celebrate Vaisakhi in a Mosque! These sell outs weren't prepared for the backlash that occurred from the Sikhs and also Deepa Singh's involvement in raising awareness of what these sell outs were doing. These sell outs MO is to play the victim when they are called out on their anti-Panthic activities. When Deepa Singh and others went to the house of one of the organisers this was presented as some kind of attack and siege while according to the police no arrests were made and no complaint was even made. The kumbaya singing Sikhs then enlisted the aid of Sunny Hundal to present their victim narrative to the mainstream media. These self serving sell outs have no time to counter the attacks on our community from the grooming gangs but they have all the time in the world to set up anti-Panthic events like Vaisakhi in the Mosque.

Deepa Singh has rattled these paper tigers who think they are the voice of the Sikhs. So they will use any opportunity to bring him down. This is what I am seeing happening here.

Their modus operandi is pretty clear to see. First someone comes on this forum and asks' Is it true Deepa did so and so'. Then without proving any proof others join in by passing judgement on his 'crimes' and pretty much the tread becomes an Deepa Singh bashing thread and anyone unfamiliar with Deepa Singh will think he is the devil incarnate.

Khalistan ain’t happening yet, the Indian government are too powerful

We should always have had one Guru ghar in every main city in England & then I think the ekta would be getting there.

Deepa actually knows he can't create Khalistan let alone step foot in Punjab but he just uses the Khalistan as a mmarketing tactic for his family to make money.

Yes this is what Deepa and Sikh Youth are good at. The problem is that they money they raised is unaudited and has no transparency like a charity. So with some of the funds being used for Deepa's family that is not on. If they set up up a charity and stick to preventing Islamic grooming the whole Sangat will support them. But teaming with the Pakistani mouthpiece Pannun and Kashmir flag wavers when the groomers protest is not a good look.

What Deepa didn't realise is that by presenting himself as a spokesman for the protestors the media were successful at painting Sikh youngsters as jealous and petty protestors who are powerless to stop people like KS Brar but get their rocks off protesting Singhs marrying Hindu or Polish girls.

I don't agree with your first point, to me it goes against the principles of Sikhi (that's my personal opinion, i'm not here to thrust it upon anyone else neither to debate it).

There was a Smagam held in Birmingham last week, some organisations didn't wan't it to go ahead due to it's location, SYUK turned up and became violent and attacked a few sewadaars, they were kicked off the premises (it was private property) and they decided to have a scuffle with the police outside.

How anyone can take Deepa seriously is beyond me. He should focus on the dangers of Islamic grooming rather than attacking fellow Sikhs for petty reasons

I think these guys do some good work, however them thinking it's wise to both tackle domestic issues and get involved in political activism is riduclous. They're a small organisation who lack the resources to focus on both issues, and, lack some of the professionalism required to be in the public eye; hearing some of them speak publicly is cringe honestly. Of course they can voice their opinions on politcal matters but any more than that is pointless. Either way, I don't support their politics. I mean even if one could be convinced of this Khalistan business it's hardly gonna come by way of some Chani Nattan types lol.

Now all these incidents are building up of them being lafange, trying to police people, to intimidate people, forcing their version of Sikhi onto people etc. Combine this with the open display of thug life...it makes for a very unattractive and volatile picture.

Hit the nail on the head

It's like:

were gangsters > hear about 84 > become Singhs > think Khalistan movement is good replacement for being gangster

Except 1984 and Khalistan = anti-anything that doesn't fit their interpretation of Sikhi; they see it from their thug life lens where there has to constantly be a villian in your sights, like "we're in this gang, can't associate with that gang, better check our gang loyalty". Pretty childish mentality. How much have these guys actually looked into Gurbani and Ithiaas? Seems like very little.

Bhai Mohan Singh has done far more than these lot, for far longer, with real Sikhi ideals. If that makes him a Pandit then so be it. I highly doubt he personally gives a sh!t, however, if they were involved in trying to defame or slander him to others then shame on them.

Everybody else can see these ex-druggies for what they actually are. They should focus 100% on working to tackle Muslim grooming rather than kicking off against fellow Sikhs, the Police or claiming that they can defeat UK+USA+India as allies when we all know Deepa will never pick up an AK47 like the gangster fashion line his family prints off to earn a living off naive kids throwing milkshakes around on coaches.

On 8/15/2019 at 6:19 PM, PostMaster said:

The clothing is an embarassment. AK47 hoodies just how far detached from reality these ex-druggies are thinking that they are invincible (never putting a foot in Punjab) whereas the 100 Singhs of 1984 all became shaheed. Pakistan and all the Muslim countries of the world cannot make Kashmir independent but Deepa's clothing line attempts to con children into thinking that America, the UK, Russia, Canada and all those sucking to do trade with India will let him become ruler of Khalistan sitting in England!?

Just to clarify, were SYUK and/or Deepa involved in the attack on the residential property of a sevadar associated with the smagam in Birmingham?

If so the sevadar is 80 years old! Totally against gurmat and sikhi principles.

That's the thing. They haven't even referred to what actually what happened in their bogus statement. Yet they expect to be taken seriously.

Exactly.

If Sikh Youth want to grow help the Panth the best things they can do are:

1. Become a charity with transparency

2. Focus on Islamic grooming of Sikh females and issues Sikh Youth face

3. Appoint a leader (like Bhai Mohan Singh) who is respected within the Panth

4. Stop the immature gangster/Khalistan/AK47/Uzi/badboy type clothing line

5. Deepa being almost 40 years old should get married by now and set a good example to youth instead of organising protests at other peoples Anand Karaj.

To what you said, I agree. He is a top sewadar for the youth & grooming situation at times, his mind set is kinda there BUT I’m not trying to bash his organisation or him. I’m trying to tell the youth who run after him what his really about aswell.. if you live in Midlands (UK) you will know the people he has around him and there antics in the past years at events can not be accepted, if your the face of a organisation who does so much good sewa you have to shuffle the group up (like if you was a government party and the leader wasn’t performing etc they step down). It’s putting Sikhi down, Deepa Singh should of made a video I feel not have a statement made that he is a hypocrite because when it suits him he takes hukam from a random Panj Singh, which should of been shared. The other problem is that with when someone is getting found out all there other antics are coming out, I feel that’s wrong it should of been tackled when it happened as this situation is getting dealt with now.

I love my Sikhi but it’s 2019 the people who are egotistic are getting squashed.. if you feel Deepa is going good I believe you think the Jathedar are doing good too.

I’ve met Deepa, talked & it’s like talking to a militant group which we don’t really need now because that’s al qaeda & we know how that ends & gets portrayed.

whose agenda does it serve to sideline Deepa and the other sewadars of sikh youth uk??

GOI - no mention of Jaggi will remain

WMP - valuable scalps to present

'traditional' sikh organisations - can let diaspora fall back to sleep

We may not like the thuggish soch but truth is if they even encourage a handful of youth to look up history, sikhi  etc it may be a positive thing.

Gotta agree with this. It's not ideal, but we need a strong "street" presence away from the lily-livered, soft intellectuals in the diaspora quom who've aligned themselves with factions that serve us no purpose or benefit, or in extreme cases serve to do us serious harm under the guise of friendship and tolerance.

Invariably, these guys are going to end up rubbing some people up the wrong way because they don't temper their strength with spirituality, but at this point in time we aren't in a place where we have much of a choice. Perhaps in the coming years we'll be blessed with more rounded personalities who are in-line with the full gamut of Gurmat values, but for now let's think ahead a little bit.

I just wish we had more Sikhs with the spirit of warriors but also the unwavering loyalty for Sikhi and our people, coupled with cunning and knowledge to deal with the wolves in sheep's clothing. Any so-called educated or intellectually minded Sikh who doesn't identify with the thug lifestyle seems to gravitate almost as default to the side of our opponents. There's no sense of rajneeti at all.

For the sake of clarity, I don't have any ties to any of the personalities in this issue. I'm an impartial observer.

I would have agreed with you about WMP had Deepa not gone running to them at the first sign of trouble, he tells everyone else to sideline them yet doesn't take his own advice.

At the end of the day SYUK are a minor organisation who use thuggish behaviour to justify their means, where it works, great but then they end up behaving like that with everyone and it becomes a problem.

They decided to pick on someone's daughter on the way back from a BOSS camp, that not childish, that's just plain stupid, if your going to join an organisation of any kind you need to remember everything you do represents said organisation.
