Boxing / Thai boxing for striking

jiu jitsu / wrestling for ground game

most important thing is to practice fighting for real / sparring.

Interesting. I have hear jitsu is good ground work. I have done some karate and liked some moves.

But looking fir something that will be good in a street fight scenario.

My current daily regime

100 push ups

80 sit ups

40 pull ups

jog 1 mile a day

I'd also incorporate some hitt, stuff like :-

Burpees

Jumping Jack's

Mountain Climbers

Lunges

Aim to do the exercise for 1 min rest for 1 min 20 secs but complete all the exercises in 1 round.

Brazilian ju jitsu is used a lot in mma

Wheguru je ka Khalsa Wheguru je ke Fateh, all martial arts have benifits, its usually what's have access to in your area. At the moment it's all about MMA.

Well I live in London and its a big place as Im sure Birmingham is. I think its worth while travelling far if need be to find a good place that does combat training. Its also worthwhile finding out which is a good one to do. Many are not practical for real life situations.

Ie someone comes up to you with a knife or other weapon.
